2020.09.25 17:34 da5hitta One Wasteland Weapon Stat Changes Round-Up (Observed as of September 25)

Hello everyone! I am back after spending a ton of time reviewing in-game weapon stats ever since the One Wasteland update we received last Tuesday to try to determine what--if anything--may have changed behind the scenes.

Please be aware that while I have not had a chance to go through every single weapon that I previous logged data on, I have been able to review a large majority of the weapons, enough to notice a few trends. In any case, these are changed observed as of TODAY (September 25th). With that being said, let's begin.

Methodology:

Changes Stated in the Patch Notes (With Real Values):

Alien Blaster: Damage increased by 30% per patch notes.
While it's nice to see them buffing the Alien Blaster in general, it's still not nearly enough to make this once-great weapon even the least bit usable. I think a 300% buff might have actually gotten some players' attention. But hey, it's a start...

Oddly enough, the fusion mag only seems to have received a 25% buff (the difference is 1 damage but still, I can't help but mention it). Here are the level 50 values:

Shishkebab: Energy damage changed to Fire damage per patch notes.
Fire damage symbol can be seen when viewing weapon in-game. Numerical values are unchanged.

Changes Not Stated In Patch Notes - Ranged Weapons

Auto Grenade Launcher: Heavy Barrel now INCREASES damage (+12.5%)

I think this is a great change because it gives this mod a reason to exist. Previously it increased range by the same amount as the Long Barrel, but weighed more, meaning you were always better off with the Long Barrel. Now, you can squeeze a bit more damage out of this weapon with the Heavy Barrel. Plus, I think it looks the coolest.

Broadsider: Light (Fluted) Barrel now DECREASES damage (-15%)

Heavy Guns - Very Minor Increases to Prime Receiver damage on certain weapons
.50 Cal Machine Gun:

As a result, the combination of Prime Receiver + Heavy Barrel also saw a very slight increase as well.

Light Machine Gun:

Gatling Gun:

Gauss Minigun:

Note: These slight buffs could be due to how the new math works out behind the scenes with the Prime Receiver's coded damage boost. It could also be a result of how the numbers get rounded, though why this would have changed is beyond me. If anyone knows more, please let me know.

Pistols: Misc. Tweaks - Condensed into chart below for simplicity.

Weapon Name Weapon Level Pre-Patch Base Damage Post-Patch Base Damage Notes
10mm Pistol + Hardened Receiver Level 15 22 23 Same damage as Prime
10mm Pistol + Powerful Auto Receiver Level 45 31 32
10mm Pistol + Prime Auto Receiver Level 45 33 32 Now equal to Powerful Auto
Single Action Revolver + Prime Receiver Level 45 77 78
Western Revolver + Severe Receiver Level 50 89 91

Rifles/Shotguns/SMGs: Misc. Tweaks - Condensed into chart below for simplicity

Weapon Name Weapon Level Pre-Patch Base Damage Post-Patch Base Damage Notes
Lever Action Rifle + Hardened Receiver Level 45 93 94 Same damage as Prime
Handmade Rifle + Powerful Auto Receiver Level 45 50 51
Hunting Rifle + Hardened Receiver Level 50 87 88 Prime = 98 (same as before)
Hunting Rifle + .50 Cal Receiver Level 50 94 95
Pipe Rifle + Hardened Receiver Level 50 32 33 Same damage as Prime
Pipe Revolver + Hardened Receiver Level 50 68 69
Pipe Revolver + Hardened Receiver Level 40 62 63 Note: Also reviewed level 10 (no change)
Pipe Revolver + .38 Receiver Level 50 49 48
Railway Rifle + Prime Receiver Level 50 118 119
Combat Shotgun + Hardened Receiver Level 50 112 113 Same damage as Prime
Double Barrel Shotgun + Hardened Receiver Level 45 143 144 Same damage as Prime
10mm SMG + Hardened Receiver Level 50 42 43 Same damage as Prime
.45 SMG + Standard Receiver Level 45 27 26 No change to level 35 or 25
.45 SMG + Standard Receiver Level 15 17 16
.45 SMG + Hardened Receiver Level 45 32 33
.45 SMG + Prime Receiver Level 45 34 33 Now equal to Hardened

Energy Weapons: Misc. Tweaks - Condensed into chart below for simplicity

Weapon Name Weapon Level Pre-Patch Base Damage (Ballistic / Energy) Post-Patch Base Damage (Ballistic / Energy) Notes
Plasma Rifle + Splitter Barrel (Pulse) Level 45 27 / 26 28 / 26
Plasma Rifle + Sniper Barrel (Pulse) Level 45 39 / 38 38 / 38
Plasma Rifle + Flamer Barrel (Pulse) Level 45 32 / 31 31 / 31
Plasma Rifle + Flamer Barrel (Prime) Level 45 43 / 43 44 / 43
Enclave Plasma Rifle + Automatic Barrel Level 45 28 / 28 27 / 27
Enclave Plasma Rifle + Automatic Barrel Level 25 21 / 20 20 / 20 No data on Level 35
Enclave Plasma Rifle + Automatic Barrel (Prime) Level 45 36 / 35 35 / 35
Enclave Plasma Rifle + Automatic Barrel (Prime) Level 25 27 / 26 26 / 26 No data on Level 35

Heavy Explosive Launchers: Base damage for "Two Shot" launchers has been INCREASED

Obligatory note: Some launchers (Fat Man, Broadsider, Missile Launcher) have long displayed misleading damage values. I'm in the process of testing to see if this is still the case, but it's a difficult and time consuming process. To keep things simple, what you see in the chart is what I see in the Pip Boy.

Bonus: Bunker Buster now displays it's inherent "+20% damage" correctly on the stat screen.

Changes Not Stated In Patch Notes - Melee Weapons

Note: All values observed with 15 STRENGTH to provide a consistent baseline.

Commie Whacker: Bladed mod now INCREASES damage (+10%)

1H & 2H Melee Weapons: Misc. Tweaks - Condensed into chart below for simplicity

Weapon Name Weapon Level Pre-Patch Base Damage (15 STR) Post-Patch Base Damage (15 STR) Notes
Combat Knife + Serrated Blade Level 50 65 66
The Nailer (Unique) Level 50 82 83 ~15% stronger vs Cultist Blade
Lead Pipe + Spiked Level 50 77 78
Baseball Bat + All Star + Chain Wrapped Level 50 124 126 Only applies to this combo (no change to individual mods)
Fire Axe + Spikes Level 45 138 139
Golf Club + Spiked Level 45 86 87
Golf Club + Bladed Level 45 89 91
Sheepsquatch Staff + Heavy Mod Level 50 137 138

Unarmed Weapons: Slight BUFF across the board to all Unarmed Melee Weapons

Conclusion

Keep in mind this is not necessarily a 100% comprehensive list. There are weapons I haven't gotten a chance to examine, so it's possible that I may have missed a few things. If so, then I will make a Part #2 in the future for anything else I discover. If you think I missed anything or have noticed anything strange since the update, please let me know and I will check it out!

If you missed any of my previous posts regarding weapon stat changes, or my post that included a comprehensive list of weapon damage values prior to One Wasteland, you can find those below:

🧬Featured Research

100+ Promoters Dissected with Base-Pair Resolution (Open Access)

During my time at Caltech, I contributed to a study that was published in eLife this week. In this study, we created an experimental tool, called Reg-Seq, that combines massively parallel assays with mass spectrometry to determine the nucleotide-by-nucleotide contribution to DNA binding energy for 100+ promoters. With this method, we can determine where transcription factors (activators and repressors) cling to DNA, and then use this information to design new promoters with predictable expression levels. There is also a suite of online resources that we created, including code, tutorials, and an interactive figure so that you can look at the data for 100+ E. coli promoters yourself.

Genetic Overhaul Brings Pigs Closer to Viable Organ Donors

Xenotransplantation (taking an organ from one animal to give to another) is an ever-present theme in fiction; it appears in writings by Kazuo Ishiguro and Neal Shusterman, for example. A new study, published in Nature Biomedical Engineering, has brought xenotransplantation (from pigs to humans) one tiny step closer to reality. Luhan Yang (co-founder of a xenotransplantation company) and George Church’s group collaborated on the study. The researchers first deactivated all porcine endogenous retroviruses in pigs, which is crucial to prevent cross-species transmission of the virus (which is infectious to humans). Then, they engineered the pigs to express nine human transgenes that “enhance the pigs’ immunological compatibility and blood-coagulation compatibility with humans”. Fiction is one step closer to reality.

CRISPR Detects Malaria, Including Asymptomatic Cases (Open Access)

The World Health Organization estimates that there were 228 million cases of malaria in 2018. Rapid, easy testing for malaria could go a long way in combatting this global threat (which has likely killed more people than any disease in human history). A new CRISPR-based system, developed by the Collins lab at MIT, can be used to diagnose the “four major pathogenic Plasmodium species”, and it can do it in 60 minutes with an astounding sensitivity. In the case of Plasmodium falciparum, they could detect a single parasite in about three microliters of blood. The study was published in PNAS. Read the Wyss Institute news piece, too.

Artificial Cells “Talk” to Mammalian Neighbors (Open Access)

Artificial cells are lipid spheres, usually packed with some protein and DNA, that can be programmed to carry out a simple task, like glow green or produce a protein from a DNA template. From a historical perspective, artificial cells have been quite simple until recently. Now, new research has taken these protean cells one step further, demonstrating the creation of artificial cells that can chemically communicate with mammalian cells under physiological conditions. Researchers in Trento, Italy and Alberta, Canada created the cells from POPC (a type of phospholipid) and cholesterol and packaged them with DNA templates to synthesize a neurotrophic factor. When these artificial cells sense a specific small molecule in their environment, they switch on their genetic program, synthesize the neurotrophic factor, and “send it” to a neighboring neuron, triggering neuronal differentiation. This study was published in Science Advances.

2020.09.25 14:58 eZGjBw1Z What's New on OHLQ - Friday 9/25/20

Here are some of the interesting products that appeared in the 3:32 AM update of ohlq.com on 9/25/2020. These would be from deliveries that happened before today so they might already be gone if they were put out on shelves yesterday.
Many stores have had their addresses tweaked. A few examples... * S. West Street -> S W St * East Livingston Avenue -> E Livingston Ave * W. Schrock -> W Schrock Rd * 3600 Soldano Blvd -> 3600 Soldano Boulevard * 230 Lafayette Street Us 42 -> 230 Lafayette St * 55 Meadow Park Ave. Orange Twp. -> 55 Meadow Park Ave
Air City Wine &a Liquor 3114 N Dixie Dr, Dayton is showing a large number of unexpected new products today, with and without the experimental technique, despite usually showing up in updates on Tuesdays. I don't know why this is but I doubt it's all actually available to us. This store does supply a number of local wholesalers so maybe one of them is starting back up after or maybe a new place is opening nearby. Maybe the store's data glitched back to a time when this stuff was plentiful.
Nevermind, I somehow missed Air City in yesterday's data so everything they have listed appeared to be new this morning.
Please remember that stores are currently required by the state to avoid causing large gatherings of people by putting rare bottles out on shelves in an unpredictable manner. This probably means that the store also cannot go get a bottle from the back for you upon request. Good luck!

#FUSIONFALL GAME PROJECTS referenced in a past post - http://bit.do/fGA2j + http://bit.do/fHs5Y via FusionFall2 ;)
FusionFall Re:Fuse (abbreviated as Re:Fuse) is an unofficial singleplayer recreation of the Cartoon Network MMO FusionFall, created in a newer version of the Unity engine. It is currently unknown if the game will be recreated in it's entirety, or only include the Future section of the original. The project is lead by a FusionFall community member by the name of Brodan, and he has gotten help from others during the development of the game.
A demo was released on August 23, 2020, and it has received an update to fix the most major bugs of the program. The most recent version of the demo can be downloaded in the link below. However, it is still pretty unstable in places.

GENERIC OVERVIEW

  • Discussing exporting game assets via FusionFall & importing files into Unity
  • Conversation happened in REFUSE server via u/brodan100105
  • Check the links I added for extra resources extracting game assets
Of course without my assistance various FusionFall teams wouldn't have been able to extract the game assets (generic files) & audio for select characters for their projects glad I could assist. ;)

2020.09.25 12:09 skecchi1 MTG Mana Source by u/teryror

In Day9's recent stream with LSV, they referenced Frank Karsten's articles on the topic; I hadn't heard of these before (I only started playing MtG about a year ago, just before Eldraine was released). The most recent one I found (that can be accessed without a CFBPro subscription) is "How Many Colored Mana Sources Do You Need to Consistently Cast Your Spells? A Guilds of Ravnica Update". If you, like me, never read this before, I do recommend you skim this before reading on here, especially if you're interested in casting multi-colored cards.
It seems incredibly useful, but I quickly noticed his tables don't cover casting costs with more than three colored pips. Being a programmer, I took a look at his simulation code to see if I could get that data myself, which led me to notice his numbers are based on the Vancouver Mulligan. Out of curiosity to see how much of a difference it would make, I ported his code to Rust, my programming language of choice, and updated that part. As I was messing around with it, I noticed one final thing: the number of lands you're playing matters, irrespective of their color; but his simulation assumes a fixed number of lands for each deck size!
So my simulation not only tries each number of colored sources, but also each land count between 1/3 and 1/2 the deck size, and each combination of those. That generates a lot of data, so I only show the minimal number of colored sources required to reach consistency (using his definition, i.e. 91% chance of casting one-drops on curve, 92% for two-drops, 93% for three-drops, all the way up to 95% for five-drops and above, all assuming you've hit enough land drops). That is to say, each row in one of my tables correspons to a full table of his.
As for the assumed mulligan strategy:
Note that the simulation "bottoms" cards before deciding whether or not to mull again, and will bottom lands if more than half the cards to be kept are land. I also assume that a card, once bottomed, won't be shuffled back in, and is therefore effectively removed from the deck.
You can find my code here if you're interested. Should you want to run this yourself, I recommend first changing the iteration count to like 100,000. At 1,000,000, this took well over two hours to run on my laptop.
Without further ado, here's the results (if this doesn't show up properly for you, you can also find these at the bottom of the page with my code):

So the way to use these is to first determine how many lands you need, then consult the appropriate row here.
I hope that's helpful to someone!
EDIT: To anyone looking for guidance on the new MDFCs, I'm sorry if the title was misleading, but all I have to offer on that is hearsay; count Pathways as 3/4s of a source of both colors, spell//lands as 2/3rds, is apparently the rule of thumb given in Karsten's new article, but I can't really verify that.

2020.09.25 11:07 Meloonz619 Facts about "police brutality" that they don't want you to know

Everyone from the Hollywood elite to NFL players taking a knee during the national anthem… from the mainstream media to teachers at schools across the country… seem to want to declare that police are racists.
They’ll tell you there’s a disproportionate number of “unarmed black men” being killed by the cops.
That police brutality is out of control.
Except… the numbers once again absolutely destroy that argument.
According to 2019 data, there are 328, 240, 469 people here in the United States.
According to stats from com, there are 670,279 full time police officers here in the United States out of a total of 900,000 sworn law enforcement officers (data from National Law Enforcement Memorial Fund).
There are approximately 2.1 police officers per thousand people.
Police officers are less than .21 % of population.
Officers come into contact with 17% of the population annually.
That means 55,800,880 contacts
Which, at the time of the last report, led to 26,000 excessive force complaints against officers.
That’s 0.047% of contacts.
Only 8% of those complaints were sustained.
That’s 2,080 out of 53,380,000 contacts, or .0039%
A good friend of mine who is a Chief of Police put that into perspective:
You are seven times more likely to be murdered …
15 times more likely to be killed in a traffic accident …
42 times more likely to be raped …
… than to have a police officer use excessive force on you.
But we’re just warming up. Let’s look at 2018 police shootings.
Of the 998 total Police Deadly Use of Force, here is the breakdown by Race & Age:
Race
White –456 (45.69%)
Black –229 (22.95%)
Hispanic –165 (16.5%)
Other –41 (4.1%)
Unknown –107 (10.72%)
Age
Under 18 – 15
18 to 29 – 286
30 to 44 – 379
Over 45 – 253
Unknown – 65
According to 2016 FBI data, black men commit murder 572.8% more than white men. Rapes are committed at a level of 146.1% greater, robbery at 617.9% greater, aggravated assault at 203.3% greater and violent crime in total at 263.6% greater.
Now let’s look at 2018 Police Deadly Use of Force data.
In 2018 there were a total of 998 Police Deadly Use of Force incidents. Of these incidents, 95.3% of suspects were armed:
Gun – 555
Knife – 185
Replica weapon – 33
Vehicle – 38
Other – 105
Unknown – 35
Unarmed – 47
Of the 47 (4.7%) that were “unarmed”:
White – 23
Black – 18
Hispanic – 6
Note: In almost half of the cases (22) where the suspect was unarmed, non-lethal force was attempted & failed prior to the use of deadly Force.
Listen. I’m not suggesting racism doesn’t exist in law enforcement. It exists everywhere – that’s the sad truth of it.
And yes, black people in the United States are more likely to be victims of violent confrontations with police officers (per capita) than their white counterparts. But let’s dive deeper into why this is.
Statistically, minorities come to police attention far more than their population would suggest.
Black Americans make up about 13% of the population.
But according to the FBI, they account for about 50% of murders, and about 38% of all violent crime overall.
Chicago gives us some great examples. And let’s not forget the insanely strict gun laws there, by the way. For example, during the first eight months of 2016 (the most recent period for which the numbers are available), 2,818 people were shot — only 12 by police. (That’s one-half of 1 percent).
In cities with large black populations, homicide rates have skyrocketed during that same period:
In Washington D.C., homicides are up 54%. In Cleveland, up 90%. Overall, homicide is up 17%.
The U.S. Department of Justice says that Black people make up 15% of the population in the 75 largest counties in the United States, yet account for 62% of all robberies, 57% of murders, 45% of all assaults.
So what’s going on here? Are we confusing the color of one’s skin with poverty or inequality? It’s a fair argument. Black people tend to be greater offenders, statistically speaking, because they tend to be more disadvantaged, living in poorer urban areas with less access to public services.
Then of course there’s the argument about the “violent subculture theory.” This is the idea that some black communities have developed cultural values that are more tolerant of crime and violence.
I want to leave you with a few recent studies.
First, a 2016 study by Roland G. Fryer Jr., who is an economics professor at Harvard. He found that no racial bias could be detected in police shootings, in either the raw data or when accounting for controls. He also found racial bias was detected in lesser use of police force, but not deadly encounters. His recommendation?
“Black Lives Matter should seek solutions within their own communities rather than changing the behaviors of police and other external forces.”
Second, there were 6,095 black homicide deaths in 2014 according to FBI Data — the most recent year for which such data are available — compared with 5,397 homicide deaths for whites and Hispanics combined. Almost all of those black homicide victims had black killers.
Finally, police officers — of all races — are also disproportionately endangered by black assailants. Over the past decade, according to FBI data, 40% of cop killers have been black. Officers are killed by blacks at a rate 2.5 times higher than the rate at which blacks are killed by police.
Seems to me like the real problem here is socioeconomic disparities along with a public perception issue thanks to biased reporting. And let’s not forget the huge role that social media plays in disseminating false narratives and creating emotional, knee-jerk reactions.
Finally, I’d like to leave you with some stats from the National Law Enforcement Memorial Fund.
There are more than 900,000 sworn law enforcement officers now serving in the United States, which is the highest figure ever. About 12 percent of those are female.
According to the preliminary FBI’s Uniform Crime Reportfrom January to June 2016-2017, an estimated 442,824 Violent Crimes occurred nationwide, a decrease of 8%.
Crime fighting has taken its toll. Since the first recorded police death in 1791, there have been over 21,000 law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty. Currently, there are 21,541 names engraved on the walls of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial.
A total of 1,511 law enforcement officers died in the line of duty during the past 10 years, an average of one death every 58 hours or 151 per year. There were 129 law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty in 2017.
There have been 58,627 assaults against law enforcement officers in 2016, resulting in 16,677
The 1920s were the deadliest decade in law enforcement history, when a total of 2,480 officers died, or an average of almost 248 each year. The deadliest year in law enforcement history was 1930, when 310 officers were killed. That figure dropped dramatically in the 1990s, to an average of 162 per year.
The deadliest day in law enforcement history was September 11, 2001, when 72officers were killed while responding to the terrorist attacks on America.
New York City has lost more officers in the line of duty than any other department, with 833 Texas has lost 1,731officers, more than any other state. The state with the fewest deaths is Vermont, with 23.
There are 1,135 federal officers listed on the Memorial, as well as 707 correctional officers and 41 military law enforcement officers.
There are 328 female officers listed on the Memorial; nine female officers were killed in 2017.
During the past ten years, more incidents that resulted in felonious fatalities occurred on Friday than any other day of the week. The fewest number of felonious incidents occurred on Tuesday.
It’s important to have very real conversations about racism in America and accountability among those who hold the thin blue line. Let’s just make sure we’re basing those conversations on facts and not feelings.

2020.09.25 09:44 DrWatsonia Assault Raid Forms and Preliminary Data

...Not in that order. I'll be brief tonight because I'm writing this very late and I spent most of my brainpower on the very recent Dragalia update.
Note that we need more data to be more confident in these results. I'm mainly putting this out now so people have a bit more information for the assault raids starting tonight, though we don't have nearly enough data to talk confidently about numeric rates yet.

Assault Raid Preliminary Data: Contribution Chests

Not nearly enough data to say anything for sure other than that once again, different bonuses have different distributions. Concrete rates require more data - just look at those Runner-Up numbers!

Gathering Hero Emblems

...Has few enough reported runs that I'm not even going to publish numbers. Run this if you don't want to deal with Lv. 1 raids though, fewer rewards but less time/effort.

Data Collection Forms

Instead of making a separate form for every assault raid, I've turned the previous Dranzort assault form into a more general one for use in every assault raid. (This relies on the assumption that drop rates across assault raids are constant, which seems pretty reasonable.) With the assault raids starting tonight, please submit your assault raid data at the following:
Note that using the bit.ly link will lead you to a version of the form with the radio buttons set to default 0 values...but due to the way Google Forms works, getting those defaults requires a very specific (and very long) link and they won't be applied if you use the link to submit a new form. If you're interested in keeping the defaults, I suggest bookmarking the form right after you go to the bit.ly link and going back to the bookmark to start a new form instead of hitting "Submit new response." (If anyone's interested in the technical explanation I'll do my best to explain, but that's the main idea of what you need to do as a user!)

2020.09.25 07:48 aditrs The oldest, youngest, and most average-aged starting line-ups of the 2020 season

I've been playing around with player age data for the past little while, and now that the regular season's over, we can look at some overall stats. For the youngest and oldest starting line-ups, I took the ages of the 22 players from each team and each round and took the median age, which I think better describes the overall state of the team than the mean as it removes the effect of outliers.
Here we have the top 10 youngest starting 22's of 2020
Unsurprisingly, Gold Coast appears on this list five times, including the top-four youngest line-ups in rounds 1, 14, 16, and 12. Fellow Queensland team Brisbane appears twice which is impressive for a flag contender; while Sydney, Essendon, and Adelaide appear once each.
Here is the youngest starting 22 of the season, playing for Gold Coast in Round 1
That team had three debutants, six teenagers, twelve players under 23, and Hugh Greenwood as the oldest player in the team at the ripe old age of 28.04. Given how well they started the season, it's pretty clear that this team could be something special.
Now we have the top 10 oldest starting 22's of 2020
Again, it's unsurprising that perennial flag fancies Geelong makes this list seven times (rounds 18, 11, 3, 14, 12, 10, and 5), including in top spot. Fellow premiership contender West Coast shows up once in tenth, but Hawthorn also appears twice before they realised they had to rebuild, including having the second oldest team of the season.
Here is the oldest starting 22 of the season, playing for Geelong in Round 18
In stark contrast to Gold Coast's Round 1 side, Geelong in Round 18 played just five players under 25 and fourteen players over 28, including eight players over 30. Having said that, the Cats have consistently rotated through their cast of young players, who have regularly contributed to the team's success this year.
To calculate the most average-aged team of the season, I first calculated the median age of all the players who played this year, which was 25.32. Then, I took the ages of each player from each team's games, calculated the difference between their ages and the overall median age (referred to as the residual, or 'Res'), and then averaged the residuals of the 22 players in the team. The smaller the average residual, the closer a team is to the 'average age'.
Here is the top 10 most average-aged teams of 2020
The teams that appear on this list have median ages of nearly 25, with Essendon appearing twice (including in top spot), St Kilda appearing three times, and Melbourne appearing a whopping five times.
Here is the most average-aged team of 2020, playing for Essendon in Round 17
The homogeneity of player ages in this side is quite impressive, with no player being under 21 and all but one player being under 28 (the only exception being Andrew Phillips, aged 29.19). Unfortunately, an upcoming list turnover might mean that Essendon won't be able to field such a team next year.
For completeness, below is a table showing the ages of every team's oldest and youngest teams, as well as a link to those games' page of AFL Tables so you can see the actual players in those teams. It also includes each team's average median age in 2020.

"If you regret it--then you did not fully 100% consent, and that is rape." (LNU, Jesse (2015). Posting on Twitter. As reproduced in Tempesta, Erica (2017). Woman is blasted online after wrongly claiming that another female Twitter user who admitted to later 'regretting' a consensual sexual encounter was actually raped. Daily Mail, Sep 25 2017).
"Regret is not rape." (Southern, Lauren (2015). Photograph showing sign held at protest Jun 07 2015, Vancouver, Canada.)

A Culture of Rape? On Every Campus?

https://preview.redd.it/3q18mk6cc7p51.png?width=1069&format=png&auto=webp&s=ca59237bd51bfe8e28c4fe3dea2eba2d6843bc72
Female Supremacists claim a "rape culture" exists on every college and university campus in the United States:
"Campus rape culture exists at every university in America." (Doyle, Alexandria (2018). The race against rape culture. Oklahoma Institute for Diversity in Journalism.)
"Campus rape culture exists throughout the nation's higher education system." (Hughes, Michael (2016). Harley party draws 3,500, raises money for Family Support Services. Amarillo Globe-News, Jul 31 2016).
"Rape culture is normalized across college campuses." (Jordan, Sky (2017). Rape culture is normalized across college campuses. The State Press, Feb 27 2017).
"Rape culture is a violent, cruel reality... Colleges and universities, collectively, are seemingly some of the worst offenders." (Flowers, Corei (2017). Rape culture and it's dominance on college campuses. Her Campus, Nov 18 2017).
Feminists claim women don't make false accusations of rape. They demand when a woman accuses a man of rape she must be believed:
"Women don't 'cry rape'." (Tanenbaum, Leora (2018). Women don't 'cry rape.' U.S. News & World Report, Jan 10 2018).
"Things women don't lie about: rape." (Dunham, Lena (2017). Post on Twitter, Aug 04 2017).
"It is a primary article of faith among many feminists that women don't lie about rape, ever." (Kaminer, Wendy (1993). Feminism's identity crisis. The Atlantic, Oct 1993).
"I believe the women." (Wing, Stephanie S. (2017). I believe the women. www.youngclergywomen.org, Dec 05 2017).
"I believe the women." (Washington, Brenda (2017). I believe the women. www.chattanoogan.com, Nov 13 2017).
"I believe women... period." (Richmond, Matt (2018). I believe Women. Period. www.educationpost.com, Mar 08 2018).

Empirical Testing

Empirically we can test the claim according to which a campus rape crisis exists at every college and university in the United States.
To test this claim you can pull and plot rape data for every college and university in the United States (N = 11,251 campuses) for the period 2008 to 2016.
[Retrieved from the U.S. Department of Education's Clery Act dataset. The following data sets were used: Non campus crime, On campus crime, and Public property crime. Rape was treated as the sum of these measures. The following data elements were used for all years: UNITID_P, INSTNM, BRANCH, FORCIB, men_total, women_total, and Total. Rape measures were renamed in 2014. Prior to then FORCIBy was used, where y is the year. For 2014 to 2016 rapeyy was used, where yy is the year.]
https://preview.redd.it/f7mgy0sf87p51.png?width=651&format=png&auto=webp&s=3e40c092460ef41a7468de562e0728804d35dbef
As shown by the gray bars, for any given year 85% to 89% of campuses have zero rape. Read that again.
**We have to factor in non-reporting.**
Empirically we know this rate is 60-64%.
In other words, about two thirds of rape is not reported.
However, even when the non-reporting rate is factored in, over half of the campuses still have zero rapes.
[Regarding non-reporting: The National Crime Victimization Survey shows the nonreporting rate is 64% (Rennison, Callie (2002). Rape and sexual assault: Reporting to police and medical attention, 1992-2000. Washington, D.C.: Bureau of Justice Statistics. See table three on p. 2). Meta-analysis of 28 studies shows the non-reporting rate to be 60.4% (Wilson, Laura C. and Katherine E. Miller (2015). Meta-analysis of the prevalence of unacknowledged rape. Trauma, Violence, & Abuse 17( 2): 149-159). Thus, the reporting rate is about 36-40%.]
Of those campuses which report one or more rapes (orange bars), the chances a female student will NOT be raped is 99.91%. When the triple non-reporting rate is factored in the adjusted rate is 99.79%.
**You also need to factor in the McDowell effect (false reporting rate is about 60%)** (I wrote about McDowell's work here: https://www.reddit.com/MGTOW/comments/im32q4/bury_the_truth_a_25_year_study_conducted_by_the/)
Eugen Kanin uses a completely different method than McDowell and concludes there's a false reporting rate of approximately 50% (Kanin, Eugene J. (1994). False rape allegations. Archives of Sexual Behavior 23( 1): 81-92), you can read it here: https://cdn.atixa.org/website-media/atixa.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/12193336/Lisak-False-Allegations-16-VAW-1318-2010.pdf).
"More than half later admitted their accusation was false. 53% were meant to create an alibi for possible pregnancy or STD's. 44% were motivated by revenge."

How exactly did we arrive at the conclusion that a "Rape Culture" exists on every university campus in the United States?

"Daily case counts reflect newly reported cases and may represent cases that were tested in the preceding days, which could significantly impact the count on days when a relatively large number of laboratory reports arrive in one day." SNHD confirmed they are not counting COVID-19 antibody positives into their COVID-19 positive case counts.
Majority of information is pulled from Southern Nevada Health District's COVID-19 dashboard and historical reports.
Our positives have slowed down, our recovery rate continues to rise (90+% range), but our hospitalizations are increasing. Protect our vulnerable and continue to practice good hygiene habits, including wearing a mask to prevent asymptomatic spread as mandated by Governor Sisolak (onus is on businesses, which we want to keep open, but Metro will not enforce it; OSHA is responsible for mask enforcement by fining the business). To report a non-compliant business through the state, call (702) 486-9020 or (775) 688-3700.
Doctors are doing convalescent plasma therapy treatments and are seeking plasma donors to help those in need. One plasma donation can help five patients. Blood donors can get the antibodies testing done for free.
FDA states 144 trials of therapeutics are underway to treat COVID-19. 457 more are in planning stages. None have been approved. Remdesivir and Dexamethaaone are FDA approved for emergency base use.
Nevada was approved for the 24-hour test procedure. FDA has approved a 30-minute and a 5-minute testing procedures. UNLV provides the main COVID-19 testing services. The first at-home testing kit was FDA approved on 5/15.
If you live within a 1-mile range of the Wal-Mart on Craig Rd, you qualify for a drone-delivered test kit to your front or back door.
Testing sites require an appointment; some may need to be scheduled by your primary care physician or another authorized provider.
City Serve coordinates testing sites throughout the valley. Testing is only on Saturdays. Schedule a no-cost test here: https://cityservelv.org/
The antibodies test was approved by the FDA a month ago. UMC, E7 Health and local laboratories are able to conduct antibodies testing. Cost is normally $149+, but your insurance may reimburse you for the test. Check your coverage first. Vitalant/Universal Blood Services will do a free antibody test for any eligible donors.
UMC is able to process 4,000 tests per day. It is encouraged for anyone to be tested. Symptoms are no longer required. Appointment is required.
UMC's testing sites are inside Thomas & Mack Center and Cashman Field Center. They can do 1,200 tests per day, Tues-Sat 8am to 4pm. No symptoms, insurance, or citizenship required for testing. Must schedule an appointment online through UMC's website (www.umcsn.com). A staff member will contact you back to schedule your appointment. According to their reps, there is no limit how often you can get tested. Sites are walk-in, appointment or walk-up. Both sites now use the self-nasal swab test kits.
UMC updates COVID-19 test guidelines:
New guidelines are to save test kits for those exhibiting symptoms.
Expanded drive-thru testing:
See all testing locations on the SNHD website.
All CVS pharmacy drive-thru locations also do testing, no cost should be associated with this test. Validate with your insurance. If no insurance, there should be no charge.
Four months ago, the first vaccine was tested. More than 160 vaccine prototypes are being tested. Clinical trials of the vaccine were administered three months ago. Phase 1 & 2 of trial vaccines have completed with positive antibody results. Phase 3 clinical trials started with 30k volunteers; large test size of 3k vaccine test trials in the UK. Africa started their vaccine trials two months ago. Multiple sources stating to expect an FDA approved vaccine by end of the year.
Of the 100+ vaccines submitted, 22 have made the cut to go through testing and final FDA approval phases (5/15 briefing). The front runner vaccine is conducting human trails (Phase 3 aka final stage), completion date in September. AstraZeneca is prepared to produce 2 billion doses once the vaccine is FDA approved.
Government is working with four vaccine manufacturers who are in the final phases of vaccine trials, all prepared for massive vaccine output once FDA approval is given (7/31). Two of the four have in the final review phases with FDA (8/14).
Phase 3 vaccine trials for Vegas has started. Volunteers can call 702-893-8968. Must be 18+. Administered by the Wake Clinical Research Center of Nevada. Source.
Remain mindful to give our medical community the ability to focus on those in need of their expertise to survive and combat the virus.

2020.09.25 03:42 IridescentAnaconda Orthogonal Ways of Thinking

I’m keeping this short even though quite a lot can be said.
The institution of modern science is in fact a religion that competes with most older forms of religion. The plandemic pretty much makes that obvious. Scientism entails its own metaphysical assumptions, a priestly class that forbids us from interpreting scripture on our own, from “doing our own research”, even as it accelerates the pace at which it guards its esoteric truths, and it now also has developed an increasingly urgent moral code to entertain our ethical impulses.
In the same way that older religions support and interpenetrate accompanying forms of statecraft, scientism supports and interpenetrates technocracy. We are now in the technocratic age of AI, where all truth is decidable by algorithm, all aspects of life (no matter how small) are to be managed by the algorithm. “Scientific” (but non-falsifiable) rationales are formulated to justify technocratic tyranny, and the programs succeed precisely because Bernay’s science of propaganda has become exquisitely sophisticated, now richly informed by AI/ML techniques applied to large-scale data collection efforts (the true lesson of Cambridge Analytica).
The new technocratic priestly class has achieved almost full spectrum dominance, not only in the computing domain, but also the linguistic domain itself. It is for this reason that resistance cannot be achieved by appealing to data, to the algorithm, or even ultimately to language. It can only be achieved now by abandoning the rational/linguistic domain and exploring what I have come to call “orthogonal ways of thinking”.
Those of us who would resist have an advantage here, because right now the new priestly class is mesmerized with its new creation, expects it to be the decisive factor in the will to dominion over the human spirit. Like Sauron, it obsesses over its ring of power, blind to hobbits creeping into its own very domain.
What are these “orthogonal ways”? I can’t tell you directly, because in the telling I am obliged to use language and language is now corrupt. However, I can point you to the silences that lie between being and thinking, they are there if you take the time to listen. I can also encourage you to explore various developed avenues from the past or from the margins (quite distinct from one another, I’m being truly nondenominational here): methods ranging from Christian contemplative prayer, through meditation, to occult methodologies (the latter which provide some direct ways in which you can do your own science in a small-scale way, if that is your orientation).
These orthogonal ways have the capacity to grant access to the true machinery of reality creation, as they dig underneath the homogenizing effect of language and the hyper-homogenizing effect of quantification. It is here only that advantage can be gained for those who would oppose the will to dominate the human soul.

The growth of new cases, eliminating the most recent 2 days and then comparing the previous 7 days to the 7 days before that, we end up with 0.93. If we do the same, but eliminate the most recent 5 days, we end up with 1.08. In all cases, a number over 1 means the number of new cases per day is growing, a number less than 1 means the number of new cases per day is shrinking.
The daily average case rate per 100k over the past 7 days (excluding the most recent three days) is 6.35. The adjusted case rate is 5.27.
Note that the date a case is reported on is the date of the first test, not when the results were reported, so the data for the last 5+ days is incomplete and cases will continue to be added to those dates.

2020.09.25 00:26 n00bcheese An Ongoing Mortis Study - Day 3

72% Mortis today but wasn't as painful as normal as had a surprisingly high win rate. I wouldn't put this down to mort tho as most of my games there was a Mortis on each team so really just who gets the better one lol.
Interestingly tho there were only 4 games without a mortis on either team, so for 88% of my games (29 of 33) there was a mortis... Also for just over half the games (51% / 17 of 33) there was a Mortis on both teams... So much oof from both these stats tbh.
Anyway bit late today as I had scrims but did do this at 4pm CEST for consistency, also decided against doing a "best" brawler today as I feel that was the brawler I went (tara), will include this when I summarise the data at some point tho.
Added new stat - Games with double mortis (on both teams)
----------
RUNNING DAY STATS (how many times mortis is on my team)
Sept 24th [Center Stage] - 72% Mortis
Sept 23rd [Sneaky Fields] - 70% Mortis
Sept 22nd [Super Stadium] - 87% Mortis
----------
SEPT 23RD DETAILS
MAP - Center Stage
MY BRAWLER - Tara (774 trophies)

MORTIS RANDOM RATE - 72% (23 of 33 games)
MORTIS WIN RATE - 74% (17 of 23 games)
WIN RATE WITHOUT MORTIS - 30% (3 of 10 games)

GAMES WITHOUT MORTIS (on either team) - 12% (4 of 33 games)
GAMES WITH MORTIS (on at least 1 team) - 88% (29 of 33 games)
GAMES WITH DOUBLE MORTIS (on both teams) - 51% (17 of 33 games)

APPARENT MORTIS PICK RATE - 14% (starlist/brawlstats)
APPARENT MORTIS WIN RATE - 49% (starlist/brawlstats)

2020.09.24 23:54 dsr33 Certbot NGINX: Port 5000 not listening

Hi, I'm running a bot on AWS EC2 (Ubuntu) instance, but having trouble getting the web dashboard to load correctly. I've setup the SSL using Certbot Nginx via SSH and it's working fine, however, has the images fail to load, and I'm not able to login, due to the port 5000 not listening.
I'm using Route 53 for the DNS, and the Security Group had been setup, for HTTP. HTTPS & Custom TCP (5000).
If someone could help me in any way that would be great, I spend countless hours trying to figure out the issue. Let me know if I missed and details you need.
Many thanks
