2020.12.03 01:47 TheysayBoomBOOM Total Drama Underdogs Part 2.

Sorry, there were SO MANY FAULTS, AFTER I READ. Here's the updated one.
Ellody was happy about the elimination as Zeke was growling towards her. Which was upsetting from her perspective. It just creeped out Topher & Dawn. Bridgette was asking the girls questions about their relationship life, & how they’re going since they haven’t seen each other in a very long time. Sadie says she’s only dated one person, but it was for like a week. Katie says she’s had a couple of boyfriends since the season came out & she still has DJ’s phone number & they talk sometimes. Tyler knocks on the door to talk to Katie. They talk for a while, & Sadie tells Bridgette that she feels like Katie has drifted away from her, she calms her down saying that she’ll be friends with Sadie, which really brought her mood up. So they hang out while Katie & Tyler talk. Tyler talks about how Lindsay & him actually broke up. He starts to cry, but Katie comforts him & plays with his hair for a long time. Brick goes into the confessional & says that he misses playing in ROTI. Where he was closer to more of the contestants. He admits that he thinks Anne Maria & Dawn are cool, but he didn’t really get to know them. He likes Samey, but doesn’t know her too well either. Dave goes into the confessional right after Brick, they share a friendly smile as Brick walks away Dave says that Brick seems friendly. He’s happy that he survived the first vote, & that he knows who voted for him & he’s not too scared about it. He thinks he’s the most normal person on the island. Except for Ellody. He thinks she’s awesome. She’s really smart, but so is he. He continues about how he doesn’t get along with Leonard, but when Leonard is eliminated then Dave can maybe become a social butterfly. He says he’s a fan of Anne Maria. He thinks she’s cool, but too loud. He doesn’t really care too much for anyone on the other team, since right now he doesn’t really need to. Dawn walks over to B to tell him that she’s still there & she’s still in the game. B smiles & gives her a hug. That’s when Noah walks in & sees that. He goes into the confessional & states. I’ve never really been the best at playing this game. I’ve never made a merge. But, that’s gonna stop now. I’ve seen alliances run this game. Or at least go far in this game. Dawn & B could be a good alliance, they both were smart in their season. Both find out about Scott, but never found a way to escape elimination. I don’t want them making far. Especially Dawn. I’m not a strategic mastermind, trust me. It’s just not gonna go good for them, or for me.
Chris calls the challenge & that everyone needs to get ready. Meet outside of the camp & go to the white line spray painted on the grass. Sam questions why there’s a white line on the grass. Chris answers that they need to start from here & race to the kitchen. For the challenge. Everyone sempt happy about the challenge thinking it was easy. Bridgette, Katie, Noah, Eva, Sadie, & Tyler all started to drink cold water. Chris counts them off & most of them start running. Eva mainly being in the lead. Noah jumps on B’s back again & B runs with Noah on his back. Some characters just walk. Those being Amy, Sam, & Beardo. Ellody & Dawn talk a while when racing. Dawn asked why Ellody wanted Staci out really bad. Ellody says she thinks that she wasn’t going to be a big help in the challenges. Especially something like this. Dawn gives a little chuckle, but knows that comment was a little uncalled for. Beardo was taking a while to catch his breath, but was not about to be the next person eliminated so he cracked into his last energy to make it into the kitchen 18th. Barely beating a walking Amy. Amy rolls her eyes as she knows that it’s not the only challenge. So she wanted to keep her energy up. Unlike characters who ran. When she walks to her table she steps on Sam’s shoes & not caring she sits down. Sam goes into a confessional saying that he gets along with everyone greatly on his team. Except for Amy. He thinks she has one of the worst personalities he’s ever met. Zeke smiles & asks what’s next. Chris, surprised he asks, shows a huge feast. Which they all take part of. Zeke, Sam, & Leonard eating the most food. Another confessional goes to Anne Maria; she says that she’s completely shocked that Leonard ate as much as he did. He looks like a stick. Chris smiles as other characters like Bridgette & Rodney were groaning in pain. That’s when Chris decides to tell them the last challenge.
He states that the next challenge is having to stay up as long as they can. A confessional goes to Rodney saying that staying up isn’t that hard. He stayed up almost every night at the farm. He thinks that he has it in the bag. With a proud smile on his face. The challenge begins. Tyler & Katie talk to each other during the challenge keeping themselves up. Tyler makes a joke that that’s how Gwen & Trent hook up, which made Katie chuckle. Her chuckle became wandering eyes. She sees Sadie, Noah, B, & Bridgette having a little circle talk. It hurt her eyes to see Sadie having fun without her, but thought it was probably hard for Sadie to see her having fun with someone like Tyler. Samey was talking to Beardo & she would ask him questions to only get a couple of words. “What’s your favorite color?” “Green.” “What’s your favorite food” “ I- Really like Spa-Getti” “Why don’t you talk a lot?” “I’m kinda shy- but i’m learning.” Samey smiled at Beardo when she finally understood. Dawn was talking to Leonard saying that she thinks that Leonard is faking everything. Leonard tells her there’s no way & walks away from here, completely mad. Dawn yawns kinda loud & she walks to the cabins & goes to bed. Followed right after Topher. Topher told Anne Maria that she’s too pretty to stay up so she might as well go to bed with him. She blushes, but says that Justin is really for her. She needs to stay focused on the competition. So, Topher goes to bed alone.
Sam starts moving his head while Ella is singing herself slowly asleep. Eva & Amy were getting annoyed by Ella’s constant singing & Eva snapped just to tell her to shut up. Ella ends up crying for an extra hour, keeping her awake. Which is more I can say for Sadie, Sam, & Zeke. Sam falls asleep in an accident. Noah was boring Sadie so she went to bed. Zeke thought Brick could easily win the challenge so he went to bed. When the producers go back to check on Ella it was shown that she had passed out. The Beaten Bats still had one more person for a 7-8 lean at the moment. B shakes his head as he knows he’s close to going to bed. Noah kept on kinding, nudging his shoulder to keep him up, but eventually he forgot & B fell asleep. Making both teams still having 7 characters. Chef walked into his sheep clothes again & jumped over a log over & over again. Noah questions how that can make anyone fall asleep, then he turns around & sees that Rodney has passed out. Noah rolls his eyes & says “Yay, now we’re losing”. Eva stands up & says, hey we’re the final 6 surviving. Maybe we should try to keep each other away by idk sharing stories. The confessional goes to Bridgette & she’s confused on why Eva would want to talk to everyone like she’s everyone’s friend. Confession goes to Eva. She confesses she’s about to pass out, but she wants to win this challenge as she lost it in the other season. She didn’t bring her MVP player, so she thinks that she’ll be fine if they lose. She hasn’t been overly aggressive towards anyone. At least she doesn’t think.
Samey gets really comfy in Brick’s thicc arms. Soon enough they get too comfortable & fall asleep. Ellody looks at them with a hint of jealousy. Anne Maria walks to her & pulls her into the girls bathroom. Anne Maria asks Ellody if she likes Brick. She confesses that she finds him cute. She also finds Dave a little cute too. Anne Maria smiles & they spend time doing make-up. Keeping them up long enough to survive the outbreak of sleep. With Tyler & Katie getting too comfy too. Amy getting too bored. Leonard having no one to talk to. Ellody walks out & Dave looks at her in awe. She looks messed up, her hair really raggedy but in a good way. Dave goes into a confessional & shouts Yeah, I really like her. It’s really hard to be quiet. But, I think she’s really good looking. Beardo apologizes to his team & he falls asleep. Noah’s eyes start blinking, Eva threatens him saying that she’ll knock his light out if he falls asleep. So he stays up for another 30 minutes. Locks himself in the guys cabin & falls asleep. Leaving Bridgette & Eva for the Beaten Bats. Anne Maria smiles & says she’s not that tired, but she’ll leave them to talk.
She walks over to where Chris is, but she doesn’t go to bed. Just watches & smiles while spraying her spray. Ellody talks to Dave, & Dave tries to act all cool. Eva talks to Bridgette about why she has so much pumped up anger, but it only confuses Bridgette, making her really tied. Ellody talking about her professional also bored Dave, & they both fall asleep at the same time. Making Eva mad & Ellody upset. Anne Maria tells Ellody to talk to Eva and try to make her go to sleep. Ellody walks over to Eva & talks to her. Eva doesn’t seem impressed so she shoves Ellody off. Anne Maria throws a full spraying can at Eva, & it knocks her out. Without Chris seeing/caring he counts that as asleep. Ellody & Anne Maria win the challenge for the team. When everyone wakes back up, Bridgette bouches for Eva saying not to vote her out since she did the best out of everyone. Eva thanking Bridgette saying that it’s not truly necessary. But she’s happy Bridgette said something. Noah is confused, he asks around who to vote, Amy comes up with a brilliant plan to just vote randomly. Even Noah knows that it was sarcasticness, cause it just had to be. There’s no way that any of them were just going to randomly vote. There’s only 11 people in the group. Someone can go out with even 3 votes against him or her. It could be enough. Noah just shakes her head & they all walk away. Not knowing who to vote for, Amy tells Rodney to vote for someone. Same thing with Katie & Sadie. She just hopes that her plans work to eliminate the person. While Tyler, B, Noah, & Bridgette talk about who to eliminate. They think that it would be easier to eliminate Sadie to keep Katie in the game cause the next challenge they’re gonna need her. At the Campfire ceremony 8 contestants get marshmallows. The characters with 0 votes.

2020.12.01 22:41 dessiegurl How To Get Peace Between Gwent, Duncney, and Gwuncan Shippers

(Edited)
Okay, this may be my last post that emulates how prickly I am for a while. LOL! Especially since Duncney Week (December 14th-December 21st). I want that week to be positive.
You see I stumbled upon this post just a while ago: https://www.reddit.com/Totaldrama/comments/jxlf5e/i_hope_for_a_future_where_gwent_duncney_and/
The user hoped for peace, no more tearing down each other for our favorite ships, and finding common ground. I really want that too. But things have to be done to get that to be a reality. Please read all the way through please. Thank you!
I have ran into hypocrites that hinder the possible peace among the shippers of Duncney, Gwent, and Gwuncan. The kind of hypocrites that point of out the toxicity of Gwent and Duncney but manage to downplay the cheating that made Gwuncan a couple. They treat it as if it is not a big deal, ignorable, and a non-factor on how the relationship will play out. But if they did their research on couples that start with affairs, they would realize how wrong they are. What is abundantly obvious here is that Duncney, Gwent, and Gwuncan became toxic. ALL 3 of them!
If we do want peace, then we have to let the bias go and critique everybody, and I mean EVERYBODY, involved in the love square.
- Trent's jealousy, clinginess, lack of trust issues, and severe lack of common sense, is not something to ignore or excuse.
- Gwen's lack of communication, cognitive dissonance, hypocrisy (Search and Not Destroy), lack of avowing, and violent spurts, is not something to ignore or excuse.
- Duncan's not taking responsibility, bullying, misconduct, being a lackluster friend to Gwen (if you have to ask why, please re-watch the episodes in TDA), and lacking of honesty is not something to ignore or excuse.
- Courtney's controlling and anger issues, lack of compassion, severe lack of avowing, superiority, delusion, major violent spurts, and selfishness is not something to ignore or excuse.
While I'm at it, I'm going to point out more pink elephants in the room. To those who want to disparage Courtney for her toxicity that she displayed to Duncan but are all fervid for Scottney, Gwourtney, or heck, even a crackship like Trentney, you might want to relook your logic. The toxicity and/or bad habits within Courtney, and the other 3, are not going to just disappear if they start dating someone else. That's not how it works. That's not how psychology works.
Furthermore, many (not all) Gwuncan shippers are not concerned at what happened to Courtney and Trent writing-wise. But they want to take Gwen and Duncan's derailments to the soap box with a cranked up megaphone. I'd just like to point out the changes in Courtney and Trent were very, very sudden since TDA was just a little after TDI. In fact, Total Drama Action started just two days after the race for the case.
On the other hand, the time between WT and AS is about a year and a quarter (They were 17 in WT and Fresh confirmed that the characters in Gen 1 were 18 going on 19). So the derailments of Gwen and Duncan can make sense if we analyze things and make reasonable explanations to make things add up. Like for example, we saw that Gwen's interest in Duncan was wavering in AS. And I'm not totally shocked at that because I took a close look at her body language and her acts when she was with Duncan versus Trent. There are major differences if you pay attention.. I genuinely believe Gwen saw Duncan as the forbidden fruit and really liked him. But she never loved him. I also believe that her coldness towards him was because she thought he was mediocre as a boyfriend. He may have had his great moments and bad moments as a boyfriend off-air and Gwen was annoyed by that he could not be one straight line. The bad moments from Duncan were most likely to be rants about Courtney. When Gwen listened, she could hear a tinge of hurt in his voice. Gwen was annoyed and disheartened by them but never spoke up about it because she did not want to hear him verbally confirming that he still had lingering feelings for Courtney out loud. Of course, Duncan would not actually admit it, but Gwen knew him long enough to know when he's not being honest. Heck, she saw it firsthand in WT when they were in London. Soon Gwen's curiosity got the better of her and she decided to look into Courtney more. Searching her up, learning about her, etc. There's a possibility that Gwen grew a secret admiration for Courtney. And Gwen only became that way because so many people turned their backs on her (that most likely included her friends at home.) Not to mention the hate she must have gotten online and irl. It must have been so awful for her.
And yeah. I like many others, can see that the rekindling of the Gwourtney friendship was a tad bit forced. I don't dislike them, but I definitely prefer LeGwen and Bridgney.
With my headcanons aside, I have to say that what happened to Gwen and Duncan in TDAS was a rushed mess. Even with the bigger time gap in comparison the one from TDI to TDA for Courtney and Trent it's still not something to brush off. I ask everyone, with the prettiest please, stop favoring one derailment over the other. Mediocre writing is mediocre writing. Let's not act like the whole show is put to a stop because your favorites are tarnished. Characters get ruined and it sucks tremendously, but it is what it is. All we can do is fix it ourselves with fanworks. Just like what Blu Productions is doing! I mean come on. Are we really going to change things if we go up to Tom McGillis face to face and shout "Total Drama All Stars never happened!" No, that's pointless.
And that's that. This rant has been a long time coming and so has the headcanons. I do like to point out there a two a string of hypocrites that are in the Duncney and Gwent fandom too. But I strive to not be one of them. And if anyone has a rebuttal for any of this, you are more than welcome. But let's keep it civil.

2020.11.29 02:00 TylerbioRodriguez The disappearance of Anne Bonny, legendary female pirate from the Golden Age of Piracy. Perhaps solved after 300 years?

Anne Bonny was a female pirate from the Golden Age of Piracy. She is a name you will almost always find in just about any book on the subject, academic or otherwise. A lot has been said and a lot has been written about her. There are minor questions, such as when she was born or why she became a pirate. But the most famous question, is what happened to her? She vanished after a trial on November 28th, 1720, 300 years ago as of today. Well since May I have been searching for an answer and I might have actually figured it out. This story was published in the South Carolina Post and Courier today, and mostly draws from a 71 minute video I wrote for my YouTube channel. The video and article are here but I have written a broad summary of the video if you would like to read it. Sources are all listed at the end.
Video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KOiUgXyk0Fs)
Article (https://www.postandcourier.com/news/a-22-year-old-youtuber-may-have-solved-anne-bonny-pirate-mystery-300-years-aftearticle_78fc0a2e-2914-11eb-a5f5-03b65f4d281a.html)

Anne Bonny was a violent lesbian sailor. Anne Bonny was a serial killer. Anne Bonny was a feminist hero. Anne Bonny was an inspirational LGBTQ icon. Anne Bonny was a mere child who didn't think her life through. Anne Bonny was a heroine of the people. All of these phrases have been said by someone. Historians, journalists, bloggers, all of these people saying something like this. None of this is true. She might be a famous icon of the Golden Age of Piracy, depicted in Black Flag, Black Sails, the Pirates of the Caribbean ride and so on, but she isn't a well understood figure of history. She was treated as more an oddity by contemporary writers, in the vain of a carnival barker saying come see the freaks. She is a prism to the past, a cipher. Everyone sees something in her that reflects what they believe. So what is the truth? Who was she and what happened to her?
Its a difficult question to answer. Documents are hard to find, mostly kept in libraries across the Americas and the West Indies. Most come in the form of newspapers and short articles, a proclamation from a governor here and there, and court transcripts. Anything written years later is already unreliable, and details that come from the 20th century onward is almost always nonsense.
The Golden Age of Piracy is difficult to define, everyone has a different opinion on when it began and ended. I picked the longest timeframe, 1650 to 1730. An era defined by Henry Morgan, Henry Every, William Kidd, Edward Thatch, and Bartholomew Roberts. In this time period of legendary criminals came a woman named Anne Bonny. Said to be from Ireland, bastard daughter of an attorney and a maid. She moved to the Carolinas, lived a life that included stabbing a maid and almost killing a rapist, before running away with a sailor to Nassau, the Pirate Republic. She falls in love with Jack Rackham, quartermaster for Charles Vane. Rackham seizes power, Anne runs away from her husband and they plunder ship after ship. Eventually Anne falls for a sailor who is really Mary Read, becoming close friends. The British navy eventually captures them, Rackham is hanged but the two women avoid the noose by way of pregnancy. Mary dies in prison but Anne is never seen again.
This is the story as told in Captain Charles Johnson's General History of the Pyrates. Who was Captain Charles Johnson? It was an alias, not his real name. Almost certainly taken from the playwright Charles Johnson, who wrote a play about pirate Henry Every. In the 1930s historians mostly agreed Johnson was Daniel Defoe, author of Robinson Crusoe. In the 1980s the general opinion changed to Nathaniel Mist, Defoes publisher. The popular suspect remains Mist, an opinion I agree with while fully admitting it could have been another writer under Mist. The mystery of who Captain Charles Johnson is cannot be solved beyond reasonable doubt, and its not the only problem with the book. Its full of claims without sources and when a source can be used to factcheck it, the facts don't add up. The book takes a true story and almost always twists it for more dramatic events or details almost certainly made up. Anne Bonny's story is the worst example, her chapter is mostly about her father's misunderstandings about silver spoons. It has quotes that were never said at her trial. It contradicts witness statements at the trial. In a book full of lies, Anne Bonny's chapter is perhaps the worst of the bunch.
So what is the truth? Well, Governor Woodes Rogers of the Bahamas first mentioned Anne in a proclamation recorded in the Boston Gazette. He said the pirate John Rackam, notice the spelling difference, stole a sloop called the William from the harbor. He did it with 14 people, 12 men and two women. He lists them as Ann Fulford, alias Bonny, and Mary Read. A key detail of Johnsons account is Mary dressing up as a man and not being discovered to be a woman until the trial. This makes it all very unlikely. There are some scattered papers of two female pirates on a sloop attacking fishing boats reported through September and October, no names are mentioned but we know who this is. The big document is the Tryials of John Rackam and other Pyrates. A pamphlet printed in Jamaica that functions like a transcript, its quite rare and very key to the story. The pamphlet mentions that they robbed several fishing boats, sloops and schooners until October 22 1720. On that day, Rackam was caught by the privateer Jonathan Barnet, who ironically had served as a pirate alongside Henry Jennings in 1715. He caught the pirate after a pathetically short battle and brought them to Jamaica. Rackam was hanged on the 18th. Anne and Mary faced the court and governor of Jamaica, Sir Nicholas Lawes, on November 28th in the court house of Spanish Town. Anne Bonny was called Ann Bonny, alias Bonn. There several witnesses were brought forward, captains of vessels they stole, and witnesses to there crimes. They described them as constantly swearing, giving powder to cannons, and boarding vessels with cutlass and pistols drawn. They even tried to kill a female witness at one point. They wore sailors regalia while plundering but dressed in womens clothing when off duty. They were called spinsters of New Providence, and they never said a word to save themselves at trial.
At the end they were condemned to death not far from Henry Morgan's favorite town, Port Royal. But before sentencing was done they claimed quick with child. Following a newspaper in 1721 that referenced the trial and some other scattered reports, they were never heard from again.
So who was Anne Bonny? Well I don't think she was Irish. The name Anne is an English surname, it was popular due to Queen Anne of Great Britains reign but also well known due to Anne Boleyn. The spelling of Anne or Ann also usually denoted social rank at the time. Bonny is a French English name, it comes from the word bon, meaning good. It was mostly associated with Lancashire County but popular in all of England. Those other names, Fulford and Bonn, were also found in England and not Ireland. Fulford was a popular surname in Staffordshire and Bonn is just a fancier spelling of the French word. Nobody at her trial made mention of an accent or red hair, hell she probably had brown hair if she was from England.
She is perhaps the same Ann Bonny who was baptized in St. Giles In the Fields Church in St Giles London in 1690. This Ann Bonny had several siblings and likely lived in St Giles, which was infamously a terrible place of poverty. St Giles was also close to the Tyburn Tree and Execution Dock, so its possibly if this is Anne Bonny, she might have witnessed William Kidds death in 1701.
Its possible if this is the same woman, that she moved to Nassau around 1716. 1716 saw a rise in prostitution in Nassau and if Anne was an adult woman without a husband on that island, odds are likely she was a sex worker. Mary Read was also likely a working girl. In 1720 Governor Rogers started trying to stamp out prostitution because of his stern religious beliefs. Around the same time he was doing this, was when Anne and Mary fled on the William. Perhaps this was the cause of her short piracy career.
Now as to what happened to Anne, well there are many theories. Perhaps she was executed after all, would contradict all the documents mentioning executions, so I doubt it. I doubt she escaped that would have been quite a public sensation. Many believe she escaped after her father paid for her release. This is false, the name often used for her father is William Cormac. This comes from the 1964 romance novel Mistress of the Seas by John Carlova. He made up almost everything, even stealing details from the movie Anne of the Indies, but somehow historians ended up quoting this. David Cordingly quoted it. Colin Woodard quoted it. Kate Williams quoted it. It might be what shows up on Anne's wikipedia page but its not true. We don't truly know who her parents were, I suspect they were probably just poor folk in England, nobody rich or powerful.
This begs the question, where did she go? Anne Bonny's fate is mysterious, Mary Read's isn't. Everyone agrees she died in 1721, but no document is ever shown. Sure some historians say there was a document, coming from a 1989 Clinton V Black book, but I couldn't find it on the internet. The library of Jamaica flat out sent me listings for a childrens book but not a document. I nearly gave up until I found a parish registry on a genealogy website. Mary Read died in April of 1721, the document mentions a Mary Read Pirate buried April 28th. It left me at a crossroads because I felt if there was no document for Mary, then maybe Anne died and nobody reported it. As a joke I typed in Anne's name to the genealogy site. By sheer luck I found a document listed as Ann Bonny, buried December 29th 1733, St Catherines Jamaica. Its the right area, St Catherines is where Spanish Town is. Its only 13 years after the trial, no family is listed and the spelling is without the phantom E Captain Charles Johnson added. There are other Ann Bonny's buried in Jamaica but all are from either 1710 or a far off date like 1790.
If this is her, then what likely happened is, the Governor took pity on her and let her go. There is a precedent, Mary Critchett, the only other female pirate convicted in the Golden Age, was never hanged and probably let go due to her gender. If let go, Anne probably went back to prostitution, no paper trail or taxes or owning a house. The child she had probably died or was taken, Jamaica was a rough place to live. Its what probably killed her, disease like yellow fever or tuberculosis. But she managed to outlive Governor Rogers, who died in 1732, and basically every notable pirate of the era. If she could read, maybe she even read her own legend be born with General History. Regardless, she is indeed a pirate legend, still going strong 300 years later and dare I say probably will remain popular in 300 more years.
She might be a legend now, but she was real once upon a time. She perhaps lived an unremarkable life after a remarkable two month time period. But its not what has been recorded, and it never will be. When the legend becomes fact, print the legend, so says a John Ford classic. Aye, a legend it may be and always be, but the truth can be learned if one looks hard enough. Buried treasure may not be real, but finding the real story behind a nearly mythical woman is nearly as sweet.

2020.11.29 02:00 TylerbioRodriguez The Legend of Anne Bonny, 300 years later. (Full essay, video and article)

Well here it is everyone. It started on May 30th and it ends today, the evening of the 28th, 300 years to the day Anne Bonny was tried for piracy and never seen again. I would thank everyone here but those who helped are featured in the credits of the video and this post. This subject was covered in an article today in the Post and Courier, and I intend to send this to several newspapers and eventually publish it in a historical journal. The video is 71 minutes long so this post is more or less a written summary of the entire project. All sources are listed at the end.

Marcus Rediker, Kate Williams, David Cordingly, reactionary bloggers, all of them.

2020.11.26 23:57 CoylerProductions My Opinions on the Gen 2 Cast

Since I made a post about my opinions on the Gen 1 Cast, here's my opinions on the Gen 2 Cast, which I consider as the contestants from both Revenge of the Island and Pahkitew Island:
Revenge of the Island:
B: Honestly not a bad character,I thought he was pretty good.
Staci: While not the worst,I didn't love her, though I thought her concept was pretty funny.
Jo: She's Eva with more screentime, that's about it.
Brick: My favourite character from Revenge of the Island,I always loved Brick's army style,he was such a good character.
Dakota: She was alright, though like Ezekiel, turning her into a mutant kinda ruined her.
Sha-Lightning: The biggest Chad of them all,Lightning is my 2nd favourite from Revenge of the Island,he's fuckin hilarious.
Scott: My 3rd favourite from Revenge of the Island and favourite character from All Stars,I always loved Scott. He had a great plan of losing on purpose to drop his competition. While Zeke is still my main farm boy,Scott is a close 2nd,he was great.
Cameron: I dunno why people compare Cameron to Cody, these guys are completely different. Cameron serves as the "smart" and "wimpy" guy,and while he serves his role well,he didn't deserve to be a finalist in Revenge of the Island.
Anne Maria: I liked her character, though she didn't have enough screen time. She should've dated Zeke.
Mike: He was alright, his multiple personalities were ok,but he was pretty bland.
Zoey: Yeah,I don't really know what to say,she was another really bland character.
Dawn: How is Dawn considered a fan favourite? She was fine, she existed, but she's nowhere near the best character,I thought she was just ok.
Sam: Bruh, not only is this boy thicc but he's also an epic gamer. 6 outta 10,he's just ok.
Pahkitew Island:
Sky: Eh,she was alright,I could tolerate her.
Amy/Samey: No matter what people say, these guys are nothing more than a bad joke and at the very least a Ridonculous Race team. The problem is that unlike Katie and Sadie, they had no character and just kinda existed.
Jasmine: I actually really liked Jasmine, she was pretty decent. Her design was great and her relationship with Shawn was cool. My issue is that she ignored Shawn for half the season because he knocked her into the water with a baton, during a challenge in which it was required, while they were on seperate teams. It's like she expected Shawn to pull a Trent move from Action. She was pretty good, but that's about it.
Sugar: Easily the worst character from the season,Sugar was so boring, loud and annoying. She's literally just MacArthur only not in the Ridonculous Race,I hate every moment she's on screen, should've been booted first.
Scarlett: I personally really liked Scarlett. While not an amazing antagonist, she was pretty decent as a normal character. Her interactions with Max were great and I felt like she had enough screen time.
Ella: Bruh,my favourite female character from Pahkitew Island,I always loved Ella's Disney Princess theme. Her original design was really good and her current design was solid. Her singing was great and her lines were pretty funny at times.
Beardo: Eh,he just kinda exists.
Leonard: Again,he just kinda exists.
Dave: I thought he was pretty good,I won't lie, though he shouldn't have made the merge.
Rodney: While people hate this Wreck-It-Ralph ass looking motherfucker,I no homo love this lad,he clearly gets all the women with no problems.
Max: Ever heard the word "EVIL"? Max is easily the pure definition of "EVIL". While not as good as Justin in Action, every scene with Max is hilarious!
Shawn: I loved Shawn,he was amazing! Every scene felt great with him,he totally deserved to win the season, and I would've loved to see more of him. His Zombie fear was hilarious and always made me smile.
Topher: The biggest Chad of them all from the Gen 2 Cast,Topher is flawless,he should've made the finale instead of Sky. His interactions with Chris were comedy gold, every scene with this kickass hosting bastard was beautiful! I would've loved to see Topher get his own spinoff hosting a season, maybe having him get an Amazing Race season instead of Don.
So there's my thoughts on the Gen 2 Cast. While not as good as the Gen 1 Cast,I still had a great time with them. Hopefully you enjoyed my thoughts on them. I'll work on my Gen 3 Cast opinions later on in the week

2020.11.26 23:13 May4958 Robert Black (1947-2016) British serial killer convicted of four deaths but suspected of many more

Obviously a lot of the ‘British’ activity on this sub has focused on the Yorkshire ripper due to recent events, but I hope some of you will find this write up interesting, although it’s extremely sad. I’ve also included some photographs and links to videos.
When I was growing up in 1980s England, child abuse wasn’t talked about and i certainly don’t remember anyone ever advising us about bodily autonomy in the way even young children are encouraged now, which is a positive move forwards because as we all know, most children are most at risk from someone they know. However, in the 80s, ‘stranger danger’ was the fear of every parent and even of every child, although we didn’t really know or understand the menace these ‘strangers’ presented. Just that every now and again, a child would disappear and would sometimes turn up, dead, and sometimes would not. How many of these disappearances was Robert Black responsible for? We will never know for sure, but it is almost certainly more than the four he was eventually convicted of.
In many ways, Black’s early life was tragic and if it wasn’t for the horror of his later actions, it would be difficult not to feel some sympathy. He was born in 1947 in Grangemouth (I’ve provided a map of places of interest) post world war 2, into a world that would change rapidly over the course of what was to be his lifetime, but at the time, in the spring of 1947, less than two years after world war 2 ended, Great Britain clung on to a fiercely traditional outlook which frowned heavily upon illegitimate children and sex outside of wedlock. As such, Black, born to an unmarried woman and an unknown father, was originally going to be placed for adoption. He was not adopted, and I can’t find any sources which explain why. It could be that post war Britain had a surplus of illegitimate babies needing parents, and some were not placed. Or did his mother change her mind? Either way, Black was fostered with a middle aged couple when he was a six month old baby, and his mother emigrated to Australia. Many people used to believe that a time before memory, before words, means children are not impacted: we now know otherwise. The early rejection was to stay with Black for the rest of his life, despite being unable to remember it.
Black’s hygiene was notoriously poor even as a very young child, and this made him a target for bullying. His poor hygiene was something that would stay with him throughout his life, and it does raise some questions, firstly about his foster parents - it seems to be allowing a child of such a young age to go to school dirty and smelling is neglectful in the extreme, and it doesn’t really suggest a nurturing and loving home environment where a child could flourish. There are other indicators of possible abuse in Black’s early years. He had no memory, he was to later claim, of anything at all before he was five, which psychologists believe indicates some traumatic memories were ‘blanked out’. In addition to this, Black was a bed wetter, and would be beaten for this. Most children will have occasional accidents overnight from time to time, but chronic bedwetting is often the sign of a disturbed or unhappy child. Black was clearly both. Locals remember seeing Black covered in bruises, but Black was unable to recall the source of these.
As Black entered his preteen years, both his foster parents died. Most of us can think back to when we were ten or eleven and how devastating the loss of a parent would be: it’s important to remember that as unpleasant and as abusive as the foster parents may have been they were nonetheless the only ‘parents’ black had known. Black was placed with another foster family, but around this time, he committed his first known sexual offence. Black dragged a young girl into a public lavatory and assaulted her. It’s likely now that along with punishment, some form of therapeutic work for such a young boy would have been a priority, but in 1958, this wasn’t the case. Black was removed from his second foster home and he was placed in a children’s home near Falkirk. This home was mixed sex, and as such, Black’s growing sexual depravity continued to emerge, exposing himself to girls and on one occasion, removing the underwear of a young girl. This incident led the authorities to believe that Black was not best placed in this home, and he was duly sent to Red House Care Home in Musselburgh. The theme of dominance and submission was already an overriding theme in Black’s life, and so it continued here: he was sexually abused for three years. Black’s young life so far has consisted of abuse: either being the victim of it, or the perpetrator.
He was of above average intelligence. This point is often missed when discussing Black, but he attended Musselburgh Grammar School. At the time, the British school system was tiered, which meant only students who passed what was known as the ‘eleven plus’ went on to grammar schools - these tended to be the top few in a cohort. Given Black’s troubled early years, the fact he passed this exam indicates a natural intelligence. Unfortunately, this led to tragedy.
Black left the Red House Care Home in 1963, when he was 18. He worked as a butchers delivery boy, and during this time his sexual perversions really emerged, with him molesting countless young girls on his duties. During the summer of 1963, Black received his first sentence for ‘lewd and libidinous behaviour’ - it should have been for attempted murder. Black lured a seven year old girl away from the park she was playing in, claiming he had kittens. When he had led the little girl to a deserted air raid shelter, he strangled her until she lost consciousness before masturbating over her body. He was arrested and charged the following day, but the admonishment was mild and a psychiatric report seemed to indicate it was an isolated incident. Of course, hindsight indicates it was anything but, but even allowing for Black’s young age at the time, it’s hard to see how the seriousness of this incident was missed.
Black then moved to Grangemouth, where he met a young woman - his only known relationship. Black was lodging with an elderly couple at the time. He was reportedly ‘devastated’ when his relationship ended. The couple had a young granddaughter, and in 1966 he was evicted. However, the couple did not report Black to police, wanting to spare their granddaughter any further distress. Black then moved back to Kinlochleven, where he boarded with a married couple with a six year old daughter. It doesn’t seem likely Black just happened to find these couples: he purposefully sought them out. The inevitable happened, but this time Black was reported to the police. Black was sent to Borstal. Borstal was a type of youth detention centre. Although its aims were noble - to avoid young offenders to fall into the trap of prison and adult brutality - in Black’s case, it didn’t work. He later refused to talk about it at all, simply stating that he had vowed never to be imprisoned again. Six months after his release, in September 1968, Black moved from Scotland to London. He was twenty-one years old.
It’s helpful to pause for a moment here, as Black’s first suspected murder happened the following year. Black’s life in Scotland has consisted of abandonment, brutality, neglect, sexual abuse and violence.
Black had potential. He was of above average intelligence. He was excellent at sports - only a visual impairment prevented him from playing football professionally. Was there a point where his life could have taken a different road, where he could have been successful and lived a normal life - and so would his victims?
Between 1968 and 1981, we don’t know much, although we can speculate on Black’s movements. However, I’ll focus first on what we know and then what we suspect.
There’s always been a seedy underbelly to London, and King’s Cross was the place to find it at one time (until fairly recently it was also the red light district.) Black discovered pornographic shops, and after establishing himself as a regular client, was ‘entrusted’ into the restricted areas, where explicit material from Amsterdam featuring young girls, was freely available. If we take this as Black’s prelude to murder, he spent his time between 1968 (21) and 1981 (34) accessing this material, making trips over to Amsterdam to purchase his own and indulging his revolting habits.
Black was working during this time, as a van driver delivering posters to companies up and down the country. He was living with a couple who he’d met during his time frequenting pubs (playing darts was another hobby of Black’s.) His other hobbies included swimming and photography. Both these were backdrops to his real interest of molesting and harming young girls: Black liked to photograph girls at the beach or the pool when he had the opportunity to do so.
Here are the murders Black was convicted of:
Jennifer Cardy, Northern Ireland, 12 August 1981
The Troubles in Northern Ireland meant that it was a volatile and quite dangerous place to go to. Black was one of the few van drivers working for his company prepared to make the trip.
Jennifer was just nine when she left her parents’ home to cycle to a friend’s house. However, she didn’t arrive. Her bicycle was found a few hours later. It had been hurled over a gate into a field. The stand was down. Although it’s impossible to know for certain, Black’s later murders seemed to try to put the girl in a position where she was forced to squeeze or push past his van. Perhaps he parked into a lay-by, or perhaps he stopped her to ask for directions. Either way, Jennifer’s body was tragically found in a pond six days after she went missing. She was alive, but unconscious when she was thrown in. Jennifer’s parents, siblings and friends had to wait until 2011 before they saw justice done and had some of their questions answered.
Susan Maxwell, Coldstream, 30 July 1982
Eleven year old Susan lived in a farmhouse in a village called Cornhill-on-Tweed, on the English side of the English / Scottish border. She left her home to walk to a tennis game with a friend, and then left, happy and content, wearing yellow shorts and bright t shirt with palm trees on it. Susan didn’t arrive home. There were countless sightings of Susan both by people she knew and those who just remembered a little girl wearing yellow shorts and holding a tennis racquet until the bridge over Coldstream, at which point the sightings stopped.
It was nearly two weeks later, on the 12 August, when Susan’s body was discovered in a lay-by near Uttoxeter, 264 miles from where she had disappeared. She had been unclothed then re-clothed, but the cause of death was difficult to determine.
Caroline Hogg, Portobello (near Edinburgh) 8 July 1983
Caroline was just five - the youngest of Black’s victims. She was wearing a lilac party dress when she was seen by Black, playing outside her home on a summer evening. Black took Caroline to Fun City, a small seaside entertainment place with rides and games, near her home. Caroline had been forbidden to go there alone, but it is easy to trick a child. Black paid for Caroline to go on the roundabout and there were numerous witnesses who saw them there together. A boy working on one of the rides said that as they left, Caroline seemed frightened.
Caroline’s parents were understandably beside themselves, with Caroline’s mother Annette attending a television appeal in which she begged her daughters abductor to ‘bring her back ... I really miss her.’ Caroline had however been murdered: her body was found ten days later, on the 18th July.
Like Susan, her body was transported many miles south, this time to Twycross in Leicestershire which is 310 miles from Edinburgh. Also like Susan, the cause of death was impossible to determine. A sexual motive was nonetheless clear: Caroline’s body was naked.
These two murders only had minor differences. Both were young girls wearing bright clothing who were abducted on hot summer days in July and transported many miles south. It was clear that it was the work of one man. It was in danger of becoming bogged down through information, which was one of the issues with the Yorkshire ripper, who was finally caught in the same year Jennifer Cardy was killed. The police created a computer based system which combined the different police forces where the girls had been taken and where they were found. Many officers worked tirelessly to try to bring the killer to justice. Sadly, he struck again before he could be caught.
Sarah Harper, Leeds, 26 March 1986
Sarah was ten years old. She lived in Morley, Leeds, which is in the north of England but much further south than the other two girls. Sarah popped out to the corner shop to buy a loaf of bread for her mother at 8 o clock on a Wednesday evening. It was dark, rainy and cold. Sarah didn’t arrive home: her mother initially thought she was just being slow, but became concerned when she couldn’t find her daughter after a search.
Sarah’s body turned up on the 19 April, in the river Trent near Nottingham. Her body was partially clothed, gagged and bound. Like Jennifer, she was alive when she had been thrown in the water, but unconscious. Sarah had been the victim of a violent and prolonged sexual assault and had suffered horrendous injuries. A witness contacted West Yorkshire police to state that at around 915 on the 26 march he had seen a white van with a bald man stood by the river soar, which is a tributary to the Trent.
Initially, it was believed that the murders of Susan and Caroline was by one man, and that Sarah’s murderer was another. Police believed that the differences - Sarah having vanished from a small area on a cold, rainy, Wednesday evening in March, wearing a coat, while Susan and Caroline were both taken from places with high volumes of traffic on Fridays in July, wearing bright summer clothing. However, all three girls had been taken from their original abduction places and transported south, they had all been wearing white socks and they had all been subjected to sexual assault.
That is the end of Black’s known murders. However, in bringing him to justice, two further crimes are significant. The first is Theresa Thornhill. Theresa was a failed abduction: she was in Nottingham with friends and as she started to make her way home, Black attempted to grab her and force her into his van. Theresa was saved by screaming and resisting: her boyfriend heard her screams and ran to her aid. Theresa was fifteen and therefore this was not initially linked to the murders of the other girls. However, Theresa looked much younger than she was - she was small and slight. Theresa mentioned her abductor smelled strongly.
The second of Black’s attempted abductions nearly ended in tragedy, but didn’t, due to the bravery and quick thinking of those around. The tragedy nearly happened in Stow, another place in the Scottish Borders, on the 14th July 1990. A six year old girl was grabbed by Black as she crossed the road, his van blocking the view form those around. However, a neighbour saw her feet disappear and promptly noted the vans registration and contacted the police. The same van then came flying through the village again: the police promptly surrounded it and, without realising, brought Black’s reign of terror to an end. Thankfully, the little girl was alive, although traumatised and she had already been subjected to an assault. One of the strange coincidences of this matter is that the little girl was the daughter of one of the police officers there that day.
The similarities between the attempted abduction in Stow and the abductions of Susan and Caroline were significant. Although Black was remanded in custody, the police had quite a job on their hands. If I was to go into every single thing they had to do to track Black’s movements over the 1980s, this write up would be ridiculously long. To condense, then, the police had to contact Black’s former employers and go through petrol receipts pinning Black to certain areas on certain dates. Black was certainly in Coldstream when Susan vanished, portobello when Caroline disappeared, and Morley when Sarah was taken. It was a painstaking and tedious operation, but it paid off. Black was tried in April 1994 in Newcastle upon Tyne for the abductions, sexual assault and murders of Susan Maxwell, Caroline Hogg and Sarah Harper - and the attempted abduction of Theresa Thornhill. It was the 19 May 1994 when Black was found guilty, the families found justice and Black was taken to Wakefield prison to begin a sentence of a minimum of 35 years for each murder. Black would never be released. Many detectives broke down in tears after this.
It was December 2009 when Black was summoned to appear at Armargh Crown Court in Northern Ireland. Evidence placed him in Northern Ireland on the day of Jennifer’s abduction. Petrol receipts placed him near the scene of her abduction on the day it happened. The similarities between Jennifer’s murder and that of Sarah Harper were also noted. He was duly found guilty and a minimum term of 25 years was imposed. Black’s appearance at this trial meant he was transferred to HMP Maghaberry, which is where he died on 12 January 2016. His body was cremated on the 29 January. I don’t think anyone misses him.
But black was almost certainly responsible for more than the four murders he was convicted of. It’s tempting to pin any unsolved crime from the 1970s/80s involving a missing young girl, on Black. I’ll go through them and add my own thoughts.
April Fabb, 8 April 1969, 13 years old. April was cycling through a Norfolk village when she vanished. Her bicycle was found in a field (like Jennifer’s) but her body has never been found.
Was Black responsible? The bike certainly sounds like Jennifer, but Norfolk is remote and rural. Was Black there, and at such a young age (22)? Plus, April was 13, almost 14, at the time of her abduction. Black seemed to target younger girls, but again, this is inconclusive - Theresa Thornhill proves otherwise, and it isn’t always possible to tell how old a girl is by a casual glance.
Christine Markham, 21 May 1973, 9 years old. Christine vanished on her way to school. This is a sad little story, as she seems to have been a troubled little girl who regularly played truant from school. As such, her disappearance wasn’t reported until many hours later. Although this wasn’t a well publicised case, a newspaper clipping about it was found in Black’s home.
This does sound as if it could be Black: she is the right sort of age and Scunthorpe is the right ‘side’ of the country to be on one of Black’s regular routes. However, Christine could easily have been taken by any predator living locally and it’s possible if she was a regular non attender at school she could have been targeted by someone who took advantage of her vulnerability.
Mary Boyle, 18 March 1977, 6 years old. Mary was in Ireland, on a rural farm that belonged to her grandparents. She was following her uncle, until she decided to turn back. Mary was never seen again. Black could have been in the area, and his van was there at the time of her disappearance. A witness claimed that crying and whimpering was heard from Black’s van.
Generate Tate, 19 August 1978, 13 years old. This case is generally assumed to have been Black, and only time meant he wasn’t charged (Black died before this could be done.) Genette’s body has never been found. She vanished from Aylesbeare in Devon when delivering newspapers. Receipts place Black around here at the time.
Suzanne Lawrence, 28 July 1979, 14 years old. This is another very sad case, mostly because like Christine, her disappearance appears to have almost gone unnoticed. Suzanne was finally reported missing some two weeks after she disappeared: she had said she was going to stay with a friend but did not turn up. Suzanne’s photograph looks older than Black’s preferred victims. Her disappearance is linked to Peter Tobin, which seems more likely than Black.
I think it’s generally accepted that Black was responsible for Genette’s abduction and murder. What is difficult in all the above cases is that the bodies haven’t been found. That’s not completely unfeasible - there’s a lot of unexplored land in both the mainland United Kingdom and Ireland. However, Black didn’t attempt to hide the bodies in any of the cases he was convicted of, and if he was responsible for any of the above, surely at least one would have turned up in the intervening 40-50 years?
Black has also been linked to Patsy Morris, who was stabbed in London in 1980, aged 14, and Pamela Hastie in 1981, who was bludgeoned aged 16. This isn’t w strong line of inquiry, however.
During the 1980s, as well as Jennifer, Susan, Caroline and Sarah, Black is linked with:
Silke Garben (June 1985, aged 10, Germany.)
Cheryl Morriën (August 1986, aged 7, Netherlands.)
Virginie Delmas (May 1987, aged 10, France.)
Hemma Greedharry (May 1987, aged 10, France.)
Perrine vigneron (June 1987, aged 7, France.)
Sabine Dumont (June 1987, aged 9, France.)
Ramona Herling (May 1989, aged 11, Netherlands)
Some of the above have stronger links than others. Black made a delivery near to where Silke was found in a stream on the date of her disappearance. Black is considered a ‘strong suspect’ in the case of Cheryl Morriën: he made regular trips to nearby Amsterdam. He was known to be in Paris, where Virginie vanished from, on the date of her disappearance (virginie’s body was found strangled the following October.) Likewise, Black regularly travelled on the road where Hemma’s body was found. Black is the prime suspect in the case of Sabine Dumont, but I cannot find any explanation as to precisely why.
The other cases do not have as strong links. A white van was seen on the day of Perrine’s disappearance, but while of course this could be Black, it could just as easily not be.
My view is that Black is likely to be responsible for the abduction and murder of Genette Tate. If we work on the assumption then that he began his reign of horror in August 1978, we have:
Genette Tate - August 1978
Jennifer Cardy - August 1981
Susan Maxwell - July 1982
Caroline Hogg - July 1983
Silke Garben - June 1985
Sarah Harper - March 1986
Virginie Delmas - May 1987
Theresa Thornhill - April 1988 (attempt)
Child A - July 1990 (attempt)
The above cases have definite links to black, in that he was definitely in the area at the time and/or has been convicted of the crime. There could well be more.
Enjoy is probably the wrong word for such a sad case, but I hope you’ve found it informative, anyway. I think Black really caused a great deal of fear up and down the country, with girls in particular no longer assumed to be able to go about their business and play with friends in the summer holidays. I’ve linked to a stranger danger video I was shown at primary school and I think most children were, as well as some further links about the case. I’ll also try to add a map at some point. Thanks for reading!

Commentary
-20' Sydney FC's hopes of progressing to the knockout stages of this year's Champions League go on the line in Al-Wakrah as they face Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors. Both sides sit on just one point from their first three matches (courtesy of a 2-2 between the two sides in Sydney back in March), and with Yokohama and Shanghai SIPG both on six points (and a game in hand), a loss for either team will end any aspirations of progressing to the Round of Sixteen.
-3' The teams make their way out.
1' Sydney FC get the first half underway in Al-Wakrah.
18' After a few blocked shots in the opening 20 minutes for Jeonbuk, Kim Bo-kyung gets one away, but it poses little threat to the Sydney goal as it goes wide.
21' Choi Chul-soon tries one from the edge of the box, but it's even less of a threat compared to the shot a few minutes earlier as it also goes wide.
23' Nieuwenhof gets off Sydney's first shot of the match from outside the box. It's on target, but Song Bum-keun has little trouble in making the save.
31' Jeonbuk get the ball into the box where it finds Gustavo. A cluster ensues at the feet of Pavlesic, with the stand-in keeper managing to keep the ball out before it gets cleared by the Sydney defence.
36' Lee Soo-bin has a go from outside the box, but he skies it over the bar.
40' Buhagiar ends up with the ball inside the box, but he puts too much curve into his shot and it goes agonisingly wide of goal.
41' Hong Jeong-ho picks up a yellow card for his contact on Buhagiar.
44' JEO 1-0 SYD GOAL - Jeonbuk break the deadlock just before the end of the first half. They work the ball around the box before Na Seong-eun has a go from a somewhat tight angle, and he is able to sneak it in past Pavlesic with the help of a slight deflection off Zullo.
45' Just the one minute of stoppage time to add on.
HT JEONBUK HYUNDAI MOTORS 1-0 SYDNEY FC
46' Jeonbuk get the second half underway.
49' In a similar fashion to Nieuwenhof's first-half shot, Gustavo fires one in from outside the box, and Pavlesic makes the save down low.
61' Jeonbuk continue their pursuit of a second goal with Choi Chul-soon trying one from an angle, but Pavlesic steps up again and makes the save.
61' Almost immediately after, Sydney get the ball down the field, before Ninkovic gently shoots into the arms of Song Bum-keun.
63' Sydney are starting to get a few shots off, as Barbarouses gets the ball (he stays onside this time after straying too far forward a few times previously), but fires straight into the side netting.
64' A double change for Jeonbuk, with Lee Soo-bin being replaced by Murilo Henrique.
64' And goalscorer Na Seong-eun gets stretchered off, and he gets replaced by Cho Gue-sung.
68' Sydney get the ball into the box for Wilkinson to head for goal. In what was probably the closest Sydney have gotten to an equaliser, he draws a diving save out of Song Bum-keun.
69' Baumjohann swings in the ensuing corner. After a bit of ping pong, the ball falls to Buhagiar, who fires straight at the Jeonbuk keeper.
71' Buhagiar gets another chance, but again Song Bum-keun is up to the task.
75' Steve Corica now makes two changes of his own, with Kosta Barbarouses being withdrawn for Luke Ivanovic.
75' Alexander Baumjohann also makes way for Anthony Caceres.
75' Jeonbuk make another two changes at the same time, with Kim Bo-kyung off for Lee Si-heon.
75' And Gustavo comes off for Han Kyo-won.
75' Ben Warland is the latest to have a go for Sydney, and the latest to have his shot saved.
77' Zullo now has a go with some power, and again Song Bum-keun makes the save.
82' The Sydney free-kick comes into the box towards Ninkovic, who fires high and wide. Sydney continuing to waste their opportunities, and it's looking very likely they'll be on a plane back to Australia come the end of their final match on December 4th.
84' Paulo Retre makes way for Jordan Swibel.
86' Buhagiar has another chance from the edge of the box, and he misses. Time's starting to run out for the Sky Blues.
88' Final rolls of the dice for Sydney as Milos Ninkovic gets replaced by Chirs Zuvela.
88' And Michael Zullo makes way for Joel King.
90' Sydney will have at least four minutes of stoppage time to try and score at least an equaliser.
90+3' Modou Barrow makes way for Lee Seong-yoon in a late change for Jeonbuk.

2020.11.24 01:00 Chetdizzy A Cantor Fitzgerald Christmas

An email string for a merry Christmas, 2020:
---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: The Marriage at KNON <[email protected]> Date: Friday, November 20, 2020 Subject: Proposal To: "[email protected]" <[email protected]> Cc: ~60 recipients
Edie-Pie,
If you and Howie can have a real conversation with Donald about this PSA, then you can also consider it the formal Investment Banking application from the new spokesmen at the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund.
These two will donate all of their assets into it on Christmas Day, under the terms and conditions below.
Please also gather any media for my Folder. You and Howie will need a good Primary Dealer relationship, so Cantor Fitzgerald will act as the well deserved financial chassis here.
Just as losing mom and dad prepared us for the initial shock of 9/11, so nineteen years reveal our final instructions:
With the same force on Dec. 25, 2020, the 501(c)(3), Cantor Fitzgerald, its affiliates, and its families may participate in a brand new style of wedding. I scored front row seats. The only other invitees are those mentioned to this email string, many of whom you know.
These terms expire in 72 hours.
I love you, g

Sorry about the delay. Comments look good: we prefer ten weeks without commercial interruption. Expect members of the group Tiger 21 to provide the escrow details.
We’ll need a date and time for the first hour, when Arash Mohomad P******* and James Robert Denke announce this new 501(c)(3), its unique tax status, and the contents already outlined in “Episode 1”.
In a show of solidarity, we’re asking Genevieve Collins to participate in the audit. We’ll invite some bipartisan folks to join the panel she moderates, simultaneously surprising listeners.
Jack Van Wunnik on your floor is the CPA for any tax-specific questions you may have:
  1. This is a new legal entity, structured with existing frameworks commonly known as “trusts”.
  2. Consisting of one (1) trust filed within the legal framework of every country on Earth, this universal Trust (“Trust”) grows into a borderless government by the final episode of the wedding. Its population of internationally recognized, remote citizens proceed to normalize relations with existing United Nations governments.
  3. No one, including its founding team, may participate in the Trust until the final episode, when the Trust is formed. Afterward, any human being may apply to participate in the Trust.
  4. Applicants must pass one (1) stringent proficiency test, for which the Trust and its members prepare them to take. Those who participate in the series are exempt from the test.
  5. Any individual (“Participant”) accepted into the Trust will receive one (1) checkbook, one (1) debit card, and one (1) benefits package, including comprehensive healthcare and retirement coverage. Once activated, these items can be used to purchase any good or service at anytime.
  6. In order to activate the accounts listed above, Participants must access a universal web portal (“Portal”) and complete tax steps 12-15 below. Afterward, Participants may populate their personal folder (“Folder”) with images, audio, video, digital print and other media to document the principal engine of the Trust. As Intellectual property of the Trust, Media files will be timestamped chronologically as permanent, auditable records inside any Folder.
  7. Due to their storytelling nature, Folders may contain significant records of personal, business, travel, and other matters. Participants may not share these contents with anyone other than the Chairman of the Board (“Chairman”) of the Trust.
  8. Participation is life long. After the natural death of any Participant, the Trust will make the entire contents of the aforementioned Folder available for public review. This allows future Participants to explore dormant Folders to match their contents to current Folders. When a match is confirmed, the Chairman will notify one (1) Participant immediately.
  9. Participants may produce up to one (1) film and one (1) book using the publishing and editing software within each Folder. Approved works may be updated and republished periodically. The Chairman maintains sole discretion over which films and books may be shared publicly before any Participant’s natural death.
  10. Prior to being made public, Participant films and books must be approved by a face-to-face meeting with the Chairman. All Participants are required to film and upload any meeting to their Folders for review.
  11. The mission of the Trust is to empower low and middle income individuals to become Board Members (“Board Members”) of the Trust. Only those granted a Chairman meeting, pending confirmation by existing Board Members, may become Board Members themselves. All Board Members share equal voting rights within the Trust.
  12. Participants must submit tax forms to their appropriate local tax authorities (example: IRS Form W-4 for United States Income Tax), claiming exempt status for the period beginning July 20, 2020. Participants must notify all appropriate local, state and federal tax authorities of their exemption.
  13. Participants must also withdraw from social security, pension, healthcare, and dental plan accounts, usually funded through employer payroll. Business-owner Participants must do similarly with proprietor accounts, equivalent to those listed above.
  14. Participants may utilize any and all Trust assets at the Chairman’s sole discretion. Likewise, Participants must assign all private assets (if any) to the Trust. These assets may include banking, brokerage, business and otherwise financial accounts, deeds, titles, interests, certificates, financial instruments, rights intellectual property, and hard assets. Though they work in various professions,
  15. Participants must maintain an annual income of zero ($0.00) to sustain the chassis of the Trust. Additionally, all income must be directed to the Trust in order for each Participant to maintain no-income tax status. Income may include wages, business interest, investment interest, and other passive sources. Inquiries made by local tax authorities, or any other authority, must be directed to one of the remote offices of the Board of Directors (“Board of Directors”); its offices will open in New York City, Beirut, New Orleans, Los Angeles, Seattle, Riyadh, Tel Aviv, Shiraz, Toronto, Split, Prague, Lisbon, Kyoto, Chiang Mai, Kuala Lumpur, Buenos Aires, Cordoba, Lima, Medellin, Bogota, Mexico City, Houston, and Dallas, Texas.
  16. Two cofounders witnessed the creation of the Trust over two (2), consecutive 19 year periods. These are its only initial Board Members, announcing the public formation of the Trust. These initial Board Members are subject to full background investigations, including their private records, business interests, past relationships, careers, and transgressions, to which they admit sporadically throughout the series. Designed to help Participants inventory their own, transgressions are required uploads before additional files can be added to any new Folder.
  17. Both founders accept independent radio station KNON to broadcast ten (10) hours of the details of the Trust, its tax implications, its creation and subsequent storyline. During their broadcast, the cofounders will treat listeners and any questions with compassion and respect. The same will be requested of listeners. Panel questioning will be conducted in a timely, fair manner throughout the series, in order to encourage the fewest, unanswered questions at its conclusion.
  18. In the final episode of the series, each cofounder will execute the formation paperwork of the Trust, which has projected, worldwide Board Membership of only 55,555 individuals in its first year. The cofounders explain this ratio to listeners. Due to the vastly larger applicant pool size, the question Panel may only include those attached to this email or those called with direct involvement in the creation of the Trust’s first Folder. These may include some surprising individuals, including but not limited to: Genevieve Collins, George W. Bush, William J. Clinton, former secretary of Treasury Robert Rubin, former Chairman of the New York Stock Exchange Dick Grasso, former New Orleans Councilwoman Jackie Clarkson, Former Presidential Intern Monica Lewinsky, writers Judy Bloom and Elizabeth Sanders, Patricia Clarkson, Patrick Bateman, Paul Rudd, John Slattery, Benicio Del Toro, John Leguizamo, CEO American Airlines Doug Parker, CFO Southwest Airlines Tammy Romo, chefs Philippe Chow and Rick Moonen, Michael Mann, Gusmano Cesaretti, Wynton Marsalis, Naseer Shamma, Taj Mahal, Alan Braxe, DJ Falcon, Don Vappie, Trent Reznor, select members of Tiger 21, and among others, producer Mark Ellis, aka “Flood”.
  19. The series will be dedicated to Charles C. Bergman, the late Chairman of the Pollock-Krasner Foundation.
Working in those details, Episode 1 will follow the storyline shown in the string below. It may be best read as a disclaimer at the beginning of the series. Thank you Dave and Christian.
This will be great fun.

The Marriage will air nightly from 9-10pm CST, during ten nights spanning from October 25, 2020 to November 3, 2020. These dates won't be possible. Do you want 10 nights in a row of a once a week broadcast ? Agape will provide current fundraising and/or profitability estimates for the existing 9-10pm time slots prior to the Marriage broadcast. Any funds raised in excess of two times (“2X”) the existing estimates for current programming during the 9-10pm time slots will be deducted from the amount payable to Agape. We will not bill on this arrangement. A non-refundable deposit will be required and the remaining funding recieved as air time is rendered. This is a highly unusual arrangement for us to be considering but we are willing to continue to review this proposal and will be able to make a decision once we have all of the details and our questions have been answered. No decision has yet been made by KNON to broadcast this. Thank You

Premise: Why do bad things happen?
On October 20, 2019, an EF3 tornado tore through KNON studios, bringing the station offline. As staff scrambled to broadcast a new signal, questions stirred inside the minds of some folks:
Why? How could the station deserve this? Was it a random event? Was it an act of God? If so, how could God exist and this happen to listener supported KNON?
Enter native Texans Arash and James. Friends since age twelve and former high school debate partners, these men are no strangers to tough discourse. They offer listeners a fresh lens to examine seemingly awful events through an ultra-modern love story:
Episode List (60 minutes each)
Episode 1: “1983” Four days after KNON’s first broadcast, a baby named Natasha was born. An atheist, she inspires the story that James begins to tell, one that he claims proves the existence of God. Arash, of course, doesn’t believe him, but as a non-practicing, Muslim-born man, he agrees to listen to his Jewish friend anyway. Since Arash spent a few of his younger years in examining all religions, he confidently takes notes to debate James, who is clearly in love with Natasha. They agree James may submit any evidence to support his case, including music and concert footage he’s gathered for their friendly debate. As the episode progresses, James sketches a cast of characters and events surrounding KNON’s first broadcast, his first piece of evidence being his own drowning and subsequent resuscitation in 1983. The episode ends with a listener challenge inspired by a Wynton Marsalis concert James attended in France.
Episode 2: “One Set for World Peace” Episode 3: “September 11, 2001” Episode 4: “Inauguration Day” Episode 5: “Acid Tongue” Episode 6: “Miracles” Episode 7: “The Tornado” Episode 8: “Covid-2020” Episode 9: “The Port of Beirut” Episode 10: “The Wedding”

Dave (and Christian),
Thank you for taking the time to meet with James yesterday (and last Friday). We intend to self-promote this series and believe we can raise the donation amount listed above once we get rolling. We are also happy to meet with you to discuss the show in person.
We appreciate your consideration this Oct. 20.

2020.11.23 19:17 thehammersuit Looking to the Future: 2021 WRs

On Paper the 2021 Florida team is going to be stacked with talent. However most of our players but will either be really inexperienced or have played sparingly in 2020. Pair that with a decent schedule, a new QB, and potentially new additions to the coaching staff and this could be a little bit of a down year than what we have come to expect from Dan Mullen. It bodes well for sustained long term success though because I believe even with all those factors that our team will be extremely competitive next season.
Let's take a look at the WR group for 2021.

2020 WR Roster

Name Year Height/Weight 24/7 Rating 2020 Stats*
Rick Wells R-Sr 6’1 / 202 3 Star (.8727) 2rec, 24yds
Trevon Grimes Sr 6’4 / 218 4 Star (.9806) 22rec, 347yds, 6td
Kadarius Toney Sr 6’0 / 193 3 Star (.8790) 42rec, 503yds, 7td
Jordan Pouncey R-Jr 6’1 / 215 3 Star (.8540) NA
Jacob Copeland R-So 6’0 / 203 4 Star (.9651) 12rec, 207yds, 1td
Justin Shorter R-So 6’5 / 225 5 Star (.9962) 16rec, 195yds, 3td
Ja’Markis Weston R-Fr 6’4 / 215 3 Star (.8763) NA
Trent Whittemore R-Fr 6’4 / 210 3 Star (.8643) 8rec, 81yds, 1td
Xzavier Henderson Fr 6’4 / 191 4 Star (.9700) 6rec, 109yds, 1td
Ja’Quavion Fraziars Fr 6’4 / 211 4 Star (.9317) NA
*Stats are up to date as of 11/23
In 2020 Florida had 10 scholarship receivers on the roster. I would say between 10-12 WRs is the target we should shoot for every season.
Of those ten receivers, three are seniors (Rick Wells, Trevon Grimes, Kadarius Toney) and while they all still technically have a year of eligibility remaining because of COVID I expect all three to leave. I also expect Jacob Copeland to declare for the draft. More on that below.
That leaves Jordan Pouncey, Justin Shorter, Ja’Markis Weston, Trent Whittemore, Xzavier Henderson and Ja’Quavion Fraziars as the only returning receivers from 2020.
Trevon Grimes and Kadarius Toney should both be drafted in the 2nd-4th round range. Grimes skillset is highly sought after at the next level and Toney showing he can be a true WR this season has massively upgraded his draft stock. Rick Wells might come back since he technically can but I just really don’t see it. I expect he will try to transfer to a school where he can play more and has staff familiarity - Central Michigan and his former coach Jim McElwain might be a good choice for him.
Jacob Copeland is honestly someone who could end up coming back but I just really don’t see it. He is eligible for the draft and I just genuinely don’t think he is happy at Florida. He has complained numerous times on social media post games where he doesn't get enough touches, he will be competing against a lot of talented guys next season and I can almost see the staff just not putting up a fight to keep him around. I expect him to declare for the draft even though he shouldn’t and before anyone argues with me on this - this happens every year with a lot of players who should stay in school.

2021 WR Roster

Name Year Height/Weight 24/7 Rating Notes
Jordan Pouncey R-Sr 6’1 / 215 3 Star (.8540) Has a chance to be a veteran leader for this very young squad
Justin Shorter R-Jr 6’5 / 225 5 Star (.9962) Will be the top target next year for Floridas new QB. IMO has 1st Round Potential
Ja’Markis Weston R-So 6’4 / 215 3 Star (.8763) Might give it one more season and see if he can make it work, could be a 2022 transfer candidate if not
Trent Whittemore R-So 6’4 / 210 3 Star (.8643) Has a lot of potential and needs to step up
Xzavier Henderson So 6’4 / 191 4 Star (.9700) I expect him to make a major leap next season and be the top guy in 2022
Ja’Quavion Fraziars R-Fr 6’4 / 211 4 Star (.9317) Bit of a let down not playing in 2020 but has a ton of potential
Trevonte Rucker Fr 5’11 / 160 4 Star (.9225) Could be the next Toney but hopefully no rap career to distract him
Daejon Reynolds Fr 6’2 / 210 4 Star (.9161) Lots of talent and has a chance to really compete for playing time
Marcus Burke Fr 6’3 / 180 4 Star (.9148) Low key is my favorite of the three freshman WRs.
This squad will be very young and inexperienced next season which is to be expected when you don’t recruit WR well in 2019 (shakes fist at Billy G).
Pouncey is really an unknown. He could be good but might be more of a vet presence than actual on the field contributor. I am also on the fence with Weston. Dan Mullen praised him extensively but he hasn’t contributed at all in 2020 and considering he had a whole season of preparation before Henderson concerns me.
Shorter has so much potential and when he is lined up with Henderson and Whittemore they will all create significant mismatches with their height and speed.
Fraziars has a year head start against Rucker, Reynolds and Burke but don’t count out the new guys all three can play significant minutes this season.

2020.11.23 00:38 CoylerProductions My Opinions on the Gen 1 Cast

First of all,I wanna say something. Before you all go to the comments and bash me and hate on me,just know these are MY opinions, how I feel about these characters. If your gonna comment, then try think about how I view these characters from MY perspective, that I have my own opinions on the characters,so I don't wanna see anyone complaining about how I hate their favourite characters. Now,since I always see posts praising and dissing the characters of Total Drama,I thought I'd start a mini series revealing my thoughts on each character, starting with the Gen 1 Cast:
Ezekiel: Literally my favourite character, since I feel I can really relate to him. Not the feral stuff obviously, but I was just like Zeke when he was a normal human,I could relate to him the most, which is why he's my favourite.
Eva: Not a terrible character. She was never my favourite, but I understand why people love her so much.
Noah: I personally was never that big a fan of Noah, but he is a pretty good character, especially in World Tour and Ridonculous Race, his development was pretty good.
Justin: By far my favourite antagonist from the franchise,Justin in Action was fucking amazing! He was funny, smart, had great slapstick and a killer design. I just wish we got to see more of his more villainous side.
Katie: Not a terrible character, but not very good while solo.
Tyler: One of my Top 5 favourites,Tyler is bloody amazing! His design is probably one of my favourites,he had the best slapstick in the franchise, his lines were all gold, and his elimination in Island is the only time the show made me cry. Tyler is one of the characters like Lindsay,Harold or Justin who deserved a win after getting loads of development but were dropped.
Izzy: Now here's a bad character,I hated Izzy when I first watched the show. I thought she was loud and annoying, which really made me dislike her. After rewatching the show, she isn't as bad as I remember, but still pretty terrible. I was never a fan of the characters that were meant to be "quirky" and "random".
Cody: Hmm,I'll be honest,I really don't have much of an opinion on Cody, since he really isn't a character at all. He gets no development, has no reason to be there and does nothing major. He was watchable in Island, but quite literally did nothing World Tour, yet made the Top 3. All in all,he wasn't terrible,he just kinda existed.
Beth: While I didn't hate Beth,I also didn't like her. She really didn't deserve a win,and should've been an early boot. It pains me that she won in Action, when she barely did anything.
Sadie: Like Katie,Sadie is a character who I felt doesn't work by herself,as she needs her partner to have some potential.
Courtney: In the words of Billy Madison; "Here's a nice piece of shit". Man,I absolutely hated Courtney, she's probably one of the moaniest, loudest, whiniest, most annoying characters in TV history. I'm baffled as to how people love her, since she does nothing but complain, yell, whine and act over confident all the time (which is something Zeke gets flak for). She had no business being a main character at all, bloody terrible.
Harold: Going from a shite character to a great character,Harold is one of the best characters ever conceived in TV history. His design, voice and mad skills are the perfect combination for an amazing character. Believe me,if Zeke didn't exist,Harold would easily be my favourite, there is nothing bad to say about Harold.
Trent: Trent was actually a really cool guy,at least in Island. He was fine in Action, but I didn't like his Number 9 quirk. I loved how he was meant to be the most cool, chilled, relaxed and laid back character in Island. To this day,his relationship with Gwen is my favourite canon ship,Trent was such a great character.
Bridgette: Ah here we go,now for my favourite female character. I always really loved Bridgette, something about her always stuck out. Maybe it was her design or her clumsiness that did it for me,but I loved her! She's probably the only female contestant I would willingly date.
Lindsay: Another great character,Lindsay was a real middle ground character for me. I really liked her, thought she was great, but she wasn't anything amazing that I hadn't seen before. Still great, just nothing special.
DJ: DJ was another middle ground character for me,not too amazing but not too terrible. I think he stayed long enough in every season, except for World Tour, his animal curse got pretty boring after a while.
Geoff: I personally really liked Geoff,I felt he had some of the best interactions in the franchise, and Ridonculous Race gave him a great bromance with Brody. I wish he competed longer in Action or something, since it would have been cool for him to have more solo time, but then again,we did get Ridonculous Race later on down the road. But anyway,Geoff was great.
Leshawna: I never saw the appeal of Leshawna. She was alright, she sure existed, and had some good moments, but I felt they never did enough with her to make her a great character.
Duncan: Ah,Mr Top 5 himself. I liked Duncan in Island,he was at his best there. Having him win Action wasn't amazing, but understandable. World Tour is where I draw the line. Having him booted early, only to come back right before the merge and make Top 5 really annoyed me. Don't get me wrong,Duncan is watchable, but he was waaaay too overused.
Heather: An alright character,Heather isn't one of my favourites, but she's a character I can deal with. Her screen time always felt like just the right amount, though I wasn't a fan of her winning the Alt ending of World Tour.
Gwen: Again,an alright character. Gwen was at her best in Island like the other "main characters" and had a great relationship with Trent. I just feel the writers seriously derailed her starting from Action and leading up to All Stars.
Owen: I liked Owen,he was kinda funny, had some decent lines, but I ain't a fan of fart jokes, they feel really juvenile,a bad sense of comedy.
Sierra: And here's my least favourite character,I despise Sierra. I always hated how she was another "quirky" and "random" character, how she got Top 4 in World Tour, how she was never called out for what she did to Cody and how she was one of the most autistic contestants on the show. And as an Autistic guy myself,I took offence as to how she was portrayed,it caused me both physical and mental pain whenever she was on screen.
Alejandro: Eh,Alejandro is ok,he's just Heather with a dick, nothing more to say really.
Chris: Probably one of my favourites,I always loved Chris,he was just the right blend of a sadistic and relaxed host. He never failed to make me smile, and was one of the only enjoyable parts of World Tour.
Chef: I liked the bromance he had with Chris, but never personally saw the major appeal of his character.
Blainley: Oh right,she sure exists.
Josh: Did someone say cat fight?
Anyway, those are my opinions on the Gen 1 Cast. I'm probably gonna get shitloads of hate and down votes and comments saying why my opinions are wrong and why the "main characters" are all amazing. But in all honesty,I just wanted to share my thoughts on opinions on these characters. I'll probably do the Revenge,Pahkitew and Ridonculous Race characters at some point if I got time, but anyway, hope this was an interesting read. - C. Coyle

2020.11.21 00:31 ConorCulture BEEG BEEG YOSHI - (also travis banks as progress world champion but who cares about that)

Let’s travel back. The reign begun in September, but we’re going to March. After Haskins’ return, the big match had been building for weeks for Orlando - Progress’ first US endeavour. Mark Haskins, the former Progress World Champion who had to vacate his title due to injury - and Pete Dunne, the man who picked up the scraps of Haskins to win the gold. Now they clashed after all the anticipation in a brutal war. Haskins would reclaim the Progress World Championship to a raucous pop. “Love ya Florida, but I’m heading back to England now. But for Pete, Tyler and Trent - you guys can stay here. Trips wants ya, but Progress wants me.” He would do so and embark on a reign with the title. However his first big challenger would soon reveal themselves at the Super Strong Style 16.
Across those three nights we see Travis Banks pummel through his competition with ease, making it to finals where he’d defeat Tyler Bate to win the tournament. The Kiwi Buzzsaw had garnered crowd support for himself throughout 2017, and this was the culmination of that rise. Chapter 50 would see Banks get a big win over American import, Donovan Dijak, after a hard hitting bout. The ending saw Dijak go for a Springboard Moonsault, BUT AS HE JUMPED OFF THE ROPES HE WAS HIT BY SLICE OF HEAVEN MIDAIR!! Banks wins by that, and then his world championship opportunity is locked for Chapter 51. In Haskins and Banks’ bout, we see a spot where Banks does a Tope Suicida but Haskins dodges, and he flies into the steel chairs. The champion then targets the back with a Diving Lanza to end it, BUT BANKS SPRINTS AT HIM WITH A TOSS OFF THE TOP ROPE!! BANKS THEN CONNECTS SLICE OF HEAVEN!!! 1..............2...............3!!!!
Chapter 52: Vote Pies:
Travis Banks (c) vs. Matt Riddle - Progress World Championship
With Banks now PROGRESS World Champion, the title is in good hands. The iron was struck while it was hot and we’ve got a mega-over face. So much so that when he enters for this champion the fans chant “Travis Is Our Champion...” in sync. We got here when Banks called out Riddle to a challenge, saying he’s not happy with all the American imports. “Jim and Trips are best buddies now so we get all the Americans coming over here to experience British Wrestling. This isn’t something you experience, it’s something you live for. Matt Riddle however has shown off he is true to his word since holding the Atlas Championship. Which is why I want to face you.” he says to The Broserweight. Riddle is happy to challenge and accepts it.
When Riddle comes out the crowd are lively with “Bro” chants as Riddle hypes them up. This is our main event of the evening and Matt is in the zone. Banks gets a champions coronation, as he walks out with the Progress World Championship around his waist. “Travis is our champion” and “ole” chants flood the arena as Banks walks out. He comes in and looks at Matt, and the simple stare down is cheered. Riddle kicks off his flip flops and punches the air. He takes off his zippy as he jigs to “bro” chants. He offers Banks wear his cap and places it on his head. Banks then throws it off and offers a handshake. Riddle accepts it and IS IMMEDIATELY HIT BY A SNAPMARE!! PENALTY KICK TO THE BACK!! Banks then takes Matt to the ground for some matwork. A Full Nelson is turned into a Hip Toss and Riddle cinches in a chinlock.
Riddle strikes some elbows onto the shoulder of Banks. He applies a nerve hold for extra damage. HE RUNS THE ROPES WITH A SINGLE-LEG DROPKICK TO THAT SHOULDER!! HE LOCKS IN A SLEEPER HOLD!! Banks lifts himself up, looking to get out. RIDDLE WITH A SLEEPER SUPLEX!! BANKS FLIPS OUT!! HE HITS A ENZIGURI TO THE HEAD!! Riddle falls in a heap, which leaves him prone on the mat. SPRINGBOARD MISSILE DROPKICK BY BANKS!! The Kiwi then locks in a Single-leg Crab! HE STAMPS ON THE OTHER LEG!! HE GRABS THAT FOR A FULLY APPLIED HOLD!! Riddle is in pain from the move, and suffers on the mat. UNTIL HE FLIPS HIM OUT! RIDDLE GOES FOR A CLOTHESLINE BUT BANKS SLIDES UNDER AND HITS A SUPERKICK! BANKS THEN HITS A GERMAN SUPLEX!! Terminator Travis is unleashed.
Banks goes for a Cannonball! HE CONNECTS AND LIFTS RIDDLE UP!! FIREMAN’S CARRY IS EVADED!! MATT THEN HITS A GERMAN OF HIS OWN!! Banks pulls himself up in the corner. Riddle kicks him in the gut, and he crumples down. He’s lifted up and hit by a DEVASTATING KNIFE-EDGE CHOP!! TRAVIS NO SELLS IT!! He shouts at Riddle for another, and “all you got huh?” Matt is stunned. That chop was so brutal his cornrows came loose, and Travis no sells it? RIDDLE THEN IRISH WHIPS BANKS INTO THE CORNER!! HE FOLLOWS WITH A UPPERCUT INTO THE CORNER!! SNAPMARE, WHICH IS FOLLOWED BY A DROPKICK TO THE HEAD!! “Felt that huh?” Matt laughs, before applying a BROMISSION IN THE CENTRE OF THE RING!! BANKS ESCAPES BUT IS PULLED BACK IN!! HE HITS AN ENZIGURI!! HE RUNS THE ROPES AND IS CAIGHT WITH A BRO TO SLEEP!!! 1............2.............KICK OUT!!!!!!
The champ is still going! Banks lifts him up with a kick to the midsection, FOLLOWED BY A SPINNING ROUNDHOUSE KICK!! BANKS THEN WITH A FLYING CANNONBALL! A PINFALL ATTEMPT IS ESCAPED, BUT HE CATCHES RIDDLE’S ELBOW STRIKE ATTEMPT!! HE CONNECTS A KIWI KRUSHER!! 1.................2.............KICK OUT!!!!!!!!! Eye for an eye, as Riddle gives Banks a taste of his own medicine by kicking out of his finisher. The Broserweight gets up in the corner. Travis thinks of a Cannonball but feints it. HE THEN TURNS INTO A DROPKICK!! RIDDLE PREDICTS IT AND HITS HIS OWN DROPKICK!! We get a double down. Banks thought he was a step ahead with the fake out, but Riddle caught him. Riddle crawls over and whispers “you ain’t even on the map, bro. Yet somehow you’re champ? Nah-“ BANKS LIFTS THE TWO UP WITH A DEADLIFT GUTWRENCH SUPLEX!!
HE LANDS A MIGHTY CHOP TO RIDDLE!! ANOTHER!! ANOTHER!! RIDDLE NO SELLS THEM ALL AND HITS A HEADBUTT!! RIDDLE THEN BEGINS THE CHOPS!! ONE!! TWO!! THREE!! BANKS NO SELLS THEM ALL AND HITS A HEADBUTT!! They both fall into opposite corners to recover. THEY BOTH THEN SPRINT AT EACH OTHER!! RIDDLE DUCKS A YAKUZA KICK!! HE THEN ROLLS BANKS BACK INTO A GERMAN EXPLODER SUPLEX!! BRO-TON INTO THE CORNER!! Riddle calls for a Bro To Sleep! BANKS ESCAPES AND RUNS THE ROPES!! JUMPS FOR THE SLICE OF HEAVEN - CAUGHT INTO A ANKLE LOCK!! Riddle wrenches on the ankle as Banks struggles and fights. HE COUNTERS INTO A LION’S CLUTCH!! RIDDLE ROLLS OUT AND WE GET A SECOND DOUBLE DOWN WITH STEREO BIG BOOTS!!
Matt recovers on the outside while Travis regains in the ring. Matt chose a bad spot as he’s made himself open to a TOPE SUICIDA BY BANKS!! TRAVIS DIVES OFF THE APRON WITH A FLYING KNEE DROP!! They fight through the crowd, trading slaps. RIDDLE THROWS TRAVIS INTO A CHAIR!! He starts to unleash a rally of chops. HE GOES AT A HYPER PACE WITH CHOPS!! BANKS BOOTS HIM IN THE HEAD TO ESCAPE. The Kiwi runs up and right back, with a TOPE CON HILO INTO RIDDLE!! He throws him back in the ring and lands an Arm Drag! POWERBOMB!! 1........2.....RIDDLE ROLLS THROUGH WITH HIS OWN!! Matt climbs the ropes and dives with a SENTON BOMB!! 1.............2..............ROLLED OUT INTO A POP-UP POWERBOMB, ROLLED INTO A FRONT DROPKICK!!! Travis runs the ropes and is caught with a TOMBSTONE PILEDRVER!! 1....KICK OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Callum Leslie literally says “fuck off,” at that kick out. The London crowd go ecstatic and rally in more “Travis Is Our Champion” chants. The Broserweight cannot believe it for a second, and leaves the ring to question his sanity. He questions the refs sanity, and when Matt is called “a loon” he pushes him aside! RIDDLE WITH A LARIAT!! HE LOCKS IN THE BROMISSION!! BANKS ESCAPES AND HITS THE SLICE OF HEAVEN!! He starts to climb the ropes...WHEN OUT COMES PETE DUNNE!! Dunne points at him and Travis questions what he wants. RIDDLE FROM BEHIND PUSHES BANKS OFF!! HE HITS A GOTCH STYLE PILEDRIVER!!! 1.....................2......................KICK OUT!! BANKS LIFTS HIMSELF UP INTO A LION’S CLUTCH!! Pete Dunne is screaming at both men, and Riddle watches. He won’t let himself be humiliated in front of Dunne, and chooses to pass out instead.
Travis Banks defeats Matt Riddle (15:26)
So: if you want a serious booking and hate fun - leave now. By this point Finn pulled a Finn and I went insane with this. Leave if you want and imagine the outcome yourself. But if you are a respectable human being, stay: laugh, cry or do both. Anyways, its boutta go down.
Travis Banks is celebrating, when we start to hear this song. The crowd all start to leave, with this music lightly playing. Banks is alone - WHEN FROM THE SKY FALLS BEEG YOSHI!! He falls from the sky and sits in the ring, crushing it. All of a sudden, he shits out an egg, and inside of it is THE YOSHI IN THE BANK BRIEFCASE!!! He cashes it in and the bell is rung. 1......2....3. BEEG YOSHI IS THE NEW WORLD CHAMPION!!
At the sound of this news, Jim Smallman fires Beeg Yoshi, despite the fact he still has the title. A tournament is held to crown a new champion, and Beeg Yoshi renames the title the “Beeg Championship”. He is a man with a plan, and soon we get news of Beeg Yoshi entering the G1. This is the beginning of The Summer of Beeg Yoshi.
It’s confirmed and he will be part of Block B. Over the course of the G1, he has legendary encounters with Jay White, Tomohiro Ishii, Jon Moxley and Toru Yano. He meets Tetsuya Naito in the Block B Finals, and he admits defeat. He forfeits and joins LIJ. Beeg Yoshi is now Beeg and Tranquillo. He soon wins the IWGP Heavyweight Championship off of Okada in a 8 Star match from Dave Meltzer, before vacating it. He introduces the second Beeg Championship, along with the first. He will take LIJ worldwide as he heads to AEW. It’s set for the upcoming All Out show, taking place on Yoshi’s Island. Everyone is predicted it will happen, as in the All Out logo the “O” was green like a Yoshi egg.
But he doesn’t, instead CM Punk returns after the main event. This sends the crowd home booing, but fear not. As for the Dynamite premiere, we are once again on Yoshi’s Island. CM Punk comes out for a promo, where he disses the crowd. They all boo and throw eggs at him, which turn into little yoshis that start attacking him. SOON FROM THE SKY FALLS BEEG YOSHI!! In the same fashion as when he debuted in the wrestling world. Their match is set for Full Gear where they will main event the show, in the most anticipated bout of the evening.
Beeg Yoshi wins and remains undefeated. He continues in AEW, eventually working his way to defeat Chris Jericho for the AEW World Championship at Revolution. Instead he drops it, and introduces a new title. It’s the third Beeg Championship that he now careers around along with the first and second - in eggs of course. He leaves AEW and heads to Japan, where he joins DDT. He starts a story of winning every title there is to win, and soon holds every championship. He vacates them all but keeps hold of the KO-D Openweight Championship, and makes it the fourth Beeg Championship.
With DDT done he now travels to WWE, in time for SummerSlam. At the biggest party, he comes out after Drew McIntyre retains his WWE Championship and squashes him - literally. He soon wins the WWE Championship and, you guessed it, vacates in favour of a fifth Beeg Championship. However he sticks around to be drafted to Raw, but then leaves in favour of the vastly superior brand.
FANTASY BOOKING ELITE.
By this point I’ve gone off the deep end. I must tell you I wasn’t high in the process of writing this, I am merely a dumbass with a keyboard. Beeg Yoshi arrives with his 5 titles, and communicating through “yoshi” he states he wants to complete the Beeg-Crown in FBE. He is gunning for the FBE Titles. Firstly, he faces me. He beats me, and then targets Thad. Thad is crushed - literally. He claims both tag titles because his combined mass makes up two competitors. He cannot compete for the Junior Heavyweight Championship due to his beegness, but instead goes after the heavyweight belt.
By this point Ape has returned and has won the title lol. Beeg Yoshi is his biggest challenger to date, and steps up to the plate for a fight. It’s all going to culminate at BTE. Ape puts his career on the line for added stakes. It starts off back and forth, as Ape lands a Dropkick onto Yoshi. Yoshi falls out of the ring and is hit by a 630 SENTON OFF A CLOUD!! Ape pulls out a item box from Mario Kart and smashes it open to reveal some fireballs. He starts throwing them, but Yoshi GRABS THEM WITH HIS TONGUE AND SPITS THEM BACK OUT!! CANADIAN DESTROYER BY YOSHI!!! BEEG LEG DROP!!! 1................2..................3!!!!! THE BOYHOOD DREAM HAS COME TRUE!!!!
After this, FBE shuts down and it becomes BFB (Beeg Fantasy Booking), where Beeg Yoshi and DOUKI face off for eternity.
The End.

2020.11.20 21:44 slaveofSP The case for Aaron Rodgers in 2021...

First of all, I want to thank you in advance for taking the time to read all of this. What is expressed here is just an opinion, putting together a series of Factors that if aligned, could result ...
Why Aaron Rodgers to SF in 2021 could work and Happen?.
There are several factors that have to happen. but none of them is an impossible scenario...
Let's see:
1.- The Aaron Rodgers/Matt LaFleur Relationship.
It's not a secret that Rodgers and LaFleur have their Differences. both have admitted it. And drafting Jordan Love didn't help much. Rodgers called for help, LaFleur, and THE PACKERS, responded by bringing their Replacement. GB is 7-2, but the relationship between the team and Rodgers is surely not the best. At no time, GB has come out to confirm the continuity of Rodgers. The press has played with that idea, but GB has never confirmed it ...
2.- The Repeated situation.
just as in his moment, Favre saw how GB brought his replacement, Rodgers is going through the same situation. almost a Deja Vu. the Difference in my view is time. When GB took Rodgers, it was still the era where Rookie QBs took 2-3 years to adjust to the NFL. take a rhythm and know the Playbook. that era has passed. the NFL has evolved and adapted more to the style of play of College Football. more open and aggressive offensives. rookie QBs have been successful in recent years and the change has not been that hard. more teams play offensive systems similar to those of College than 15 years ago. newbies are more familiar with those styles of play. I don't see Jordan Love sitting on the bench for over a year. GB needs to see what it has in its QB and for that, the following is important ...
3.- keep talent on offense
if, hypothetically speaking, Jordan Love becomes the Packers' new starting QB, he's going to need all the Talent possible around him. the Bakhtiari Firm is a great help. Aaron Jones in the Ground attack, it will also be if they sign him in the offseason (which I think they will.). Devante Adams as Elite WR. Love will have plenty of help. and via Draft, they will surely bring him more weapons, ironically, those that Rodgers requested ...
And for all this, comes the most Important thing...
4.- MONEY
here comes the fun and most interesting part of all this. We all know that Cap will have a hard blow in 2021. It is said that it will be between 175-180 million dollars. all teams will be forced to make sacrifices. EVERYBODY. You are going to see a lot of Superstars being Cut or forced to take a Paycut. GB at the moment has only "in theory" 2 MDD available from the following Season. Bakhtiari extension will hit them 23 million dollars on average per year. Of course, we still don't know how much his Cap hit will be in 2021. It may be a lot less than those 23. Even with that, GB will need to make sacrifices. Aaron Jones is going to ask for top Dollar. Jones, a RB finally making GB's running game work, I highly doubt they'll let him go. Its Titular Center is also a Free Agent. GB has to make sacrifices. and who to be sacrificed?
Aaron Rodgers.
Let's not talk about 2020 anymore. Let's talk about the important dates of Aaron Rodgers' contract in 2021.
Move Rodgers before day 3 of 2021 league year (approx. March 18th)
2021 becomes a weird year here, because there are two separate deadlines to consider, but four ways to make this work. The first is early in the year, prior to the Packers’ payout of Rodgers’ roster bonus. That is a $6.8 million check scheduled to be paid out on the third day of the league year. The Packers can indeed gain some cap space by releasing Rodgers prior to paying out this bonus, though the amount they would gain is small — a little less than $5 million. Still, this is technically an option that would avoid costing the Packers extra cap space, though it would still leave them with $31.5 million in cap money for a quarterback that is playing elsewhere.
Dead cap 2021: $31,556,000 Scheduled 2021 cap charge: $36,352,000 2021 cap savings: $4,796,000
here I don't see GB making any kind of move. The deap cap is huge, and the $ 5 million reward is not worth it. definitely ...
Move Rodgers after day 3 of league year but before June 1
This should be a complete non-starter. Because of Rodgers’ $6.8 million roster bonus due on the third day of the league year, the Packers would end up eating a bigger dead money hit on the 2021 salary cap by releasing or trading Rodgers in this window than his contract is worth. Fundamentally, if the team pays the roster bonus, they would have to wait until after June 1st if they changed their mind on keeping him.
Dead cap 2021: $38,356,000 Scheduled 2021 cap charge: $36,352,000 2021 cap increase: $2,004,000
This, NOT HAPPENING. Next...
Move Rodgers after June 1, 2021
Here is where you start to see some actual, tangible financial positives for the Packers for moving on from Rodgers. In this scenario, the Packers end up with eight-digit cap savings in both 2021 and 2022 before clearing the books entirely for 2023. That’s something that could actually work, though at this point another season of Rodgers is probably worth paying $15 million for.
Dead cap 2021: $21,500,000 Scheduled 2021 cap charge: $36,352,000 2021 cap savings: $14,852,000
Dead cap 2022: $17,204,000 Scheduled 2022 cap charge: $39,852,000 2022 cap savings: $22,648,000
from here is where it gets interesting. GB would have a hit with the Dead Cap Hit, but they would save a very good 15 MDD for Cap. an interesting option, but I don't see happening either ...
Release Rodgers as a post-June 1 cut before the third day of the 2021 league year
This is the other option involving moving Rodgers before day three of the league year, but it requires releasing him outright and designating the move as a post-June 1st release — a trade is not an option here. In doing so, the Packers avoid paying Rodgers’ 2021 roster bonus of $6.8 million, but they would keep a little less than $30 million in a cap charge on the books through the offseason. That amount would then adjust on June 1, however, opening up $22 million in cap space on that date and having the same impact in 2022 as above. All told, this move leaves open about $22 million in each of those two seasons. As you’ll see moving into 2022, this effectively makes the first few days of 2021 an inflection point. The Packers will have a decision to make about whether each year of Rodgers is worth an incremental cost of $22 million compared to letting him go. It’s actually a weird situation, though: If the team wants to just release Rodgers outright in 2021, doing it at the start of the league year as a post-June 1 cut offers the team the most flexibility, even if they cannot take advantage of it for a few months. But if they would rather trade him, they probably should wait until after June 1st.
Dead cap 2021: $14,352,000 Scheduled 2021 cap charge: $36,352,000 2021 cap savings: $22,000,000
Dead cap 2022: $17,204,000 Scheduled 2022 cap charge: $39,852,000 2022 cap savings: $22,648,000
-THIS IS THE KEY DATE AND ONLY OPTION FOR 2021.-
This is the only viable option in 2021. Obviously, many will say "GB is crazy if they cut it and get nothing in return for it...". Yes, it is a logical and acceptable question. yes, Rodgers, even 38 years old, would have value to be traded. but which is better: "Draft Capital or Money in the cap?". That is the big question. the Packers would be reducing Rodgers' Cap Hit by not paying him his Roster Bonus and saving 22 MDD. The deap Cap would be 14.3 million dollars, but the reward for cutting it would be almost 8 million dollars more than that amount. They would be months of uncertainty, because the move would be made in March, but it would be official until June. this is the only option in which Rodgers would leave GB in 2021...
The Cap hit for 2022 it's the same for every date of that year except June 1 2022. The dead cap would be 14.3 MDD and the Savings 25.5 MDD.
And that's the Option.
Now, if all this is true, Rodgers is a free agent. OBVIOUSLY, many teams will go after him. but only one has the advantage over them ... SF.
What would SF have to do if he wanted to sign it? sacrifices. but not as difficult as many would think. To begin with, you would have to get the much talked about Jimmy Garoppolo cut/trade. We all know how much free money he would leave and his dead Cap. in that there is no doubt. the point is, it couldn't be done until after "Rodgers is Released." who could wait until that date? Only 2 teams come to mind: Patriots and Bears. Now with free money, talent would also have to be left to have more money available. Richard Sherman, Tartt, Ahkello Whiterspoon, Trent Taylor, Tevin Coleman, Jerick McKinnon, Kendrick Bourne, some backup QB. all of them would not return. Also, and important, to know what will be done with Dee Ford. retires?. came back?. they are 17.5 million dollars that are in limbo. and trading him is not an option. Before making any "move" with Rodgers, the entire Roster must first be sorted out. hence they could wait these months to obtain it....
After that, And if it all lines up, Rodgers in SF would be Scary. with all those Weapons (Aiyuk, Deebo, Hurd, Kittle, Mostert). A running attack that would take weight off and pressure Rodgers. and a Defense that must be healthy in 2021 and all the Talent that must arrive via Draft...
So that's it. Again, it's only factors to consider and just a opinion. And I am not saying or assuring that it will happen, I am just simply showing the factors and options in case SF would have the idea to Change QB and it would be Rodgers. Thanks for reading everything. I really appreciate it. Go NINERS!

2020.11.19 21:28 SlammitCamet2 Letter of Cardinal Frings, Written by Joseph Ratzinger as peritus, on the Initial Schemata of Vatican II

The following is taken from Six texts by Prof. Joseph Ratzinger as perìtus before and during Vatican Council II, translated by Fr. Jared Wicks SJ. This opening part is background provided in the paper, a bolded Text 3 will indicate the start of the letter.
Our third text is a brief but incisive evaluation of the seven initial schemata which had been sent out in August 1962 to all the future members of Vatican Council II. Text 3 has been published in Appendix I of the Council's Acta Synodalia as a Latin letter of Cardinal Frings, of September 17, 1962, to the Papal Secretary of State, Amleto Cicognani. However we know now that the body of the letter was wholly the work of Prof. Joseph Ratzinger. Below, I offer as Text 3 an English translation of the Latin text published in Acta Synodalia.
On July 3,1962, Pope John XXIII had authorized sending to all future members of the Council seven draft texts {schemata), which had come through the process of approval by the Central Preparatory Commission and review by that Commission's Sub-Commission on Amendments. Four of the texts originated in the Preparatory Theological Commission: I. On the Sources of Revelation; II. On Preserving the Purity of the Deposit of Faith, III. On the Christian Moral Order, IV On Chastity, Marriage, the Family, and Virginity. The Preparatory Liturgical Commission had prepared a draft constitution on liturgical renewal (V), while the Secretariat for Social Communications presented a schema on the Communications media (VI), and the Preparatory Commission on the Oriental Churches had prepared a draft-decree on the unity of the Church, which regarded only the separated churches of Eastern Orthodoxy (VII).
The booklet of seven texts went out to the Council members accompanied by a letter of July 23,1962, in which Cardinal Cicognani asked the recipients to inform him by letter about their initial evaluations of the schemas by September 15, as a step toward determining the Council's agenda. Because of the press of time, only 176 future Fathers, less than 10% of the Council membership, sent in their reactions, which however were printed in selected parts in the first Appendix volume (1983) of the Vatican II Acta Synodalia.
In late August Cardinal Frings sent his copy of the book of seven schemata to Prof. Ratzinger requesting the latter to examine them from the perspective of three questions: (1) What has been changed in the light of the discussion of draft texts on these topics in the Central Preparatory Commission? (2) What should simply be rejected? (3) What can be improved?
Prof. Ratzinger sent the book of seven texts back to the Cardinal on September 14,1962. The Professor's analysis of the texts had benefited by his participation in a meeting September 9-11, at the residence of Bishop Hermann Volk in Mainz, at which several theologians led by Karl Rahner had gone over the draft texts.
The Professor indicated the recent changes introduced into the texts by notes in the margins of the volume. But since the Cardinal Secretary of State had asked for a letter of evaluation, Prof. Ratzinger composed a letter in Latin which the Cardinal could use as the basis of such a response. When Cardinal Frings received the Professor's draft letter he was on vacation and had no way of composing a different letter. Frings was quite pleased with Ratzinger's draft letter and so the Cardinal simply added the date (September 17,1962), a salutation to Cardinal Cicognani, and his own signature. Then, after having a copy made for his records, he sent it on to the Cardinal Secretary of State.
J. Ratzinger evaluated positively only two of the seven initial texts, the schema on liturgical renewal and the schema on unity with the Orthodox churches. They both harmonize well with the overall aim of the Council and, if Vatican II were to begin with these two, this would have the advantage of not starting with complex topics which mainly concern theologians. But for dealing with the topic of Church unity, the text now offered should make it clear that a parallel text on relations with Protestants is also on Vatican II's agenda.
More generally, recalling what happened at the beginning of Vatican I in 1869, one has to demand that all Council texts avoid the style and content of textbook theology and that they speak instead the vital language of Scripture and the Church Fathers. The Council must abstain from settling topics of legitimate inner-Catholic dispute between theologians and in teaching it must make clear what is binding doctrine and what is exhortation.
Applying these criteria to the seven schemata, the Professor gave a failing grade to Schema II, on preserving the deposit of faith, which should be set aside. He concluded that Schema I, on the sources of revelation, needs thorough revision, both to complete it, by adding a first chapter on God's revelation, and to transform its concluding chapter on Scripture in the Church, by taking over a schema, De verbo Dei, prepared by the Secretariat for Promoting Christian Unity. The other doctrinal schemata, on moral principles and sexuality, are oppressively verbose in their repetitions of previous papal teaching and they need severe trimming and transformation into uplifting accounts of the positive riches of the Catholic tradition.
Text 3 shows Prof. Ratzinger, in September 1962, arguing critically from clear criteria and anticipating arguments which in time resounded in numerous interventions by the Fathers of Vatican II during the Council's first working period from October to December 1962. But he soon had an opportunity to go into greater detail in a further, notably more critical treatment of the first official schema, De fontibus revelatìonis (Text 4. I would have posted this text as well, but it's 16 pages long).
Text 3 - Evaluation of the First Draft-Texts for Vatican II, prepared for Cardinal Frings and submitted by him to the Cardinal Secretary of State (September 1962).
Concerning the First Series of draft texts for discussion in the meetings of the Council, the following comments seem especially important.
I. In this first series, two draft texts are much better than the others, both in their style and content. These two texts, on the sacred Liturgy and on the unity of the Church {Ut omnes unum sint), correspond very well with the goal of the Council as the Supreme Pontiff has stated this. The aim is the renewal of Christian life and the adaptation of church discipline in the light of today's needs, so that the witness of faith might shine forth with new brightness amid the shadows of the present age. It seems very important that the Council, in its first meetings, avoid entangling itself in difficult questions posed by theologians which people of our day cannot grasp and which upset them. It is especially important that it say first something contributing perceptibly to renewal and having the potential of somehow enlightening persons of good will. Consequently, the Council should take up for discussion and decision the two texts just mentioned, before it treats all other drafts. Certain particular questions, for example, defining the nature of the sacrament of Extreme Unction (which seems too far from the tradition of the Latin Church), will have their place later in the Council's discussions. The draft on the unity of the Church deals only with the Eastern Churches, saying nothing about the churches arising from what we call the Reformation. A preamble should say that this text concerns only the Orientals, while adding that another draft is being prepared which will concern Protestant Christians. This is needed to head off the potentially troublesome suspicion that the Council means to sow discord between different non-Catholic Christian communities. Also, it seems good to consider whether this text can be published simultaneously in Greek, so that the Church, the mother of all Christians, might speak to the separated brethren in their own language, a language pertaining to the Church and venerated as an original language of Holy Scripture, as done in the most solemn liturgies to this day.
II. Regarding the other draft texts, some general points can first be made
  1. Following what the Fathers of Vatican Council I already called for, the texts should not be treatises in a scholastic style, as if they were taken over from textbooks of theologians, but should instead speak the language of Holy Scripture and of the holy Fathers of the Church. Furthermore, this Council, according to the intention of the Supreme Pontiff, aims to offer the separated brethren a gentle stimulus to seeking unity. It also seeks to give fresh witness to Jesus Christ and to his holy Church for people in the greatly changed conditions of today, who sad to say are far from the faith of their fathers. Consequently, the Council has to always keep in mind the outlook and thinking of these brethren. Even though the truth has to be proclaimed «in season and out of season» (2 Tim 4:2), still let the truth be done in charity (cf. Eph 4:15). In fact, according to the Apostle, «we who are stronger ought to bear the infirmities of the weak and not please ourselves» (Rom 15:1).
  2. The Council, following the ancient practice of past councils, should not decide points now disputed in the Church among Catholic theologians, but it ought to issue judgments only on errors truly incompatible with a Christian spirit. Also, in the notes it is dangerous to cite occasional discourses of the Popes and to refer to them in the same way as to Encyclicals or even to decrees of earlier Councils. Clearly the discourses differ among themselves and are not of such dogmatic weight that one can include them without qualification among the sources of an ecumenical Council.
  3. If these decrees are received by the Council, their dogmatic standing is extremely important. Some of the texts sound like dogmatic definitions, while others present only a type of exhortation. To avoid endless uncertainty, it seems necessary to state clearly whether they do or do not contain dogmas in the strict sense.
  4. On some topics, for example, the means of social communication, it would be helpful and proper to have the advice of competent lay persons whose field of work is involved here.
III. These general norms are applied very well in the texts On the Sacred Liturgy and On the Unity of the Church. But the other drafts are excessively scholastic and still take too little account of the outlook of our separated brethren. For this reason they need to be once more studied, abbreviated, and revised, especially since revisions proposed by the Central Commission were not sufficiently heeded. Because the texts of these schemata still need further careful discussion, what follows here are only a few points regarding various aspects of these different drafts.
  1. Of all the drafts, the second text, On Preserving the Purity of the Deposit of Faith, is still in no way suitable but is so faulty that as it stands it cannot be proposed to the Council. It follows no clear order as it takes up, from different areas of dogmatic theology, disconnected items, which in the way they are treated offer little or no benefit. Furthermore, the first and second chapters enter into philosophical discussions and in doing this they confuse what belongs to philosophy and to theology. They mix up what rests on scholarly method and what is personal witness and proclamation. Because of this, it would be better to simply omit this schema and to transfer its more important topics, such as the condemnation of spiritualism, to another place.
  2. The draft On the Sources of Revelation has to be revised to make it no longer prejudicial to internal disputes of Catholic theologians. It also needs an added initial chapter treating revelation itself, for which some parts could be taken over from On the Deposit of Faith, Ch. IV, «On Public Revelation and Catholic Faith» (pp. 36ff). In place of Chapter V, much of the draft text presented by Cardinal Bea, On the Word of God, could well be substituted, since it treats the same topic and does this better.
  3. Regarding draft-texts nos. III, IV, and VI, one has to say first that they wear out the reader and almost overwhelm him with their excessive abundance of words. One cannot understand why all that was said in the Encyclicals Casti connubii and Miranda prorsus has to be repeated and moreover greatly amplified. The texts should give answers to more urgent questions and they should do this, in so far as possible, not by judging and condemning, but they should speak maternally with an ample presentation of the riches of the Christian faith and its consolations. Regarding matrimony, respect should be shown for the Eastern tradition, following the example of the Council of Trent, which softened its seventh canon on marriage, «to avoid offending the Greeks». The schema On the Means of Social Communication should give more recognition to the proper responsibility of lay people, since in this area one has more confidence in them than in the protective concerns of clerics.

8' SYD 1-0 SIPG GOAL - With the roles reversed from a few minutes ago, Barbarouses crosses the ball into Buhagiar, and unlike Kosta, he manages to put the ball into the back of the net. Sydney take an early lead under the sun in Doha.
14' Baumjohann swings a corner in to the box. He finds a Sydney head, with the shot going into the post and rebounding to Retre, who fires it over the crossbar.
21' Baumjohann receives a yellow card for his tackle on Lu Wenjun.
30' SIPG get their first decent chance of the match from the cross into the box, but Li Shenglong's header misses to the right.
32' Aaron Mooy has a go from outside the box, but his shot goes over the crossbar.
36' Lu Wenjun picks up a yellow card for grabbing a hold of Baumjohann's jersey.
41' Hulk has a couple of shots in quick succession, both being blocked by Sydney defenders, with the second one going out for a corner.
44' Yang Shiyuan shoots from outside the box, but it goes well over the crossbar.
45' There will be one minute of added time.
HT SYDNEY FC 1-0 SHANGHAI SIPG
46' SIPG make a half time double change, with Lu Wenjun making way for Yu Hai.
46' And Fu Huan doesn't return, with Mirahmetjan Muzepper coming on instead.
46' Sydney FC get the second half underway.
50' Baumjohann shoots from outside the box, and like many others, skies it over the crossbar.
55' Barbarouses has a golden opportunity to double Sydney's lead, but he fails to get a decent connection on the ball and heads it wide.
60' A defensive mistake from Zullo almost hands SIPG the equaliser, but Heward-Belle is able to stop Ricardo Lopes' shot from going in.
63' SYD 1-1 SIPG GOAL - Sydney's missed opportunities finally come back to haunt them. Mooy gets the cross into Li Shenglong, who heads in from the six yard box, and the teams are back level.
65' SIPG almost take the lead minutes later, but Mooy's shot goes over the bar.
67' Sydney make their first substitution, with Baumjohann making way for Luke Ivanovic.
75' Another double change for SIPG, with Ricardo Lopes making way for Chen Binbin.
75' And Lei Wenjie replacing Hulk.
77' Chris Zuvela comes on in place of Trent Buhagiar.
79' SYD 1-2 SIPG GOAL - It's two for SIPG and two for Li Shenglong. Once again, the cross comes in and Li meets it with his heads and easily gets it past Heward-Belle.
83' Double change for Sydney now, with Patrick Wood coming on for Kosta Barbarouses.
83' And Ben Warland gets replaced by Patrick Flottmann.
84' Zuvela skies another shot as Sydney desperately try and find an equaliser.
85' Final change for SIPG, with Aaron Mooy coming off for Lin Chuangyi.
87' Zuvela picks up a yellow card for a reckless challenge.
90' There will be three minutes of added time.
90+1' RED CARD - In what can only be described as one of the biggest brainfades in recent memory, Heward-Belle comes out of the box and punches the ball. He gets sent off, and now Rhyan Grant will go in goal with Sydney having already used all of their substitution windows.
90+3' Muzepper has a chance to put the nail in the sky blue coffin with the free-kick, but he misses narrowly.

2020.11.17 07:47 twofacedflyer Ranking The TDROTI Day 13(Didn't see this one coming did you?)

Ranking The TDROTI Day 13(Didn't see this one coming did you?)
Yeah I know what your thinking "Didn't he say this was coming on Sunday? It's Tuesday, what kind of scam is he trying to pull here!". Well firstly I say a lot of things and a percentage of those things end up not being true(that specific percentage shall remain a mystery). But let this be a lesson to not say your gonna do something unless you have a 100% certainty it's going to happen(which is almost never).
But I apologize for the 2 day wait, but I do it only because I want to bring you a write up of the highest quality(Not because other things got in the way no sir).
But enough waiting, time to get to y most polarizing opinion yet, and I for one can't wait the see the glowing reception this entry gets. Because my number 1 is....

1st Mike(AKA Chester, Svetlana, Vito and Manitoba Smith):

So, who saw this one coming huh?
This is probably my most surprising opinion I’ve had so far because let's be real my first 3 number 1’s weren’t exactly shocking. TDI Gwen is pretty universally beloved, I stated Harold is my favorite character in the TDI rankings so him getting first was never in doubt, and everyone’s WT ranking has either Heather or Alejandro at the top(Plus like TDA my flair gave it away). But this time I swerved you guys, because quite a few people were shocked that Mike was my number 1, heck even I was shocked. Mike was actually my original number 3 and if you can believe it Brick was actually my number 1, but the more I thought about it the more Mike moved up the list.
This eventually led me to a realization, so I hope you're sitting down for this because I’m about to drop a pretty hot take, Mike is actually my 3rd favorite character in the series. Yep no joke, no hyperbole, no surprise swerve, he sits under Harold and Heather(Who both stand head and shoulders above the rest), and just above Gwen(because man does she have some rough moments). Being a Mike fan is something I purposely kept hidden in order to increase the surprise(I only hope it worked), but man is rough being a huge fan of this guy. It’s no secret Mike isn’t exactly the most beloved character in the series, in fact he probably gets the most hate of the Revenge trio(although that’s mostly cause of AS), but to all fellow Mike fans out there, it's nice to know you exist I hope you enjoy my gushing over his character, and for all the Mike haters out there all I ask is you hear me out, you may not agree with me(which is perfectly fine) but at the very least you’ll understand where I’m coming from, and understanding is what truly brings people together(or not I don’t know I’m not a motivational speaker).
Mike at first appears to be your average teen, he’s a little dorky, pretty nice, and overall well meaning. Nothing out of the ordinary here, but Mike has a secret, he isn’t as normal as he seems. In what retrospectively is a sneak preview of what the series' future was going to look like, Mike is a character who instead of being based around a teenage stereotype like the others, is instead based around his gimmick. His gimmick is one you don’t really see all that often(the only ones that come to mind are Moon Knight, Crazy Jane of the Doom Patrol, and that dude from Split), Mike has multiple personalities 4 to be exact(Well 5 but that’s a discussion for AS), there is Chester(Triggered whenever Mike gets frustrated) a crotchety old man who complains about everything, Svetlana(Triggered when Mike is faced with an athletic obstacle,or someone mentions her name) a russian gymnast with incredible athletic abilities(Who is also inexplicably female), then there’s Vito(Triggered whenever Mike loses his shirt, which happens way more than you’d think) another parody of the Jersey Shore(Which kind of dates the show looking back) he’s tough cocky and not all that smart, then there is Manitoba Smith(Triggered whenever Mike puts on a fedora which happens just as much as you’d expect), an Indiana Jones style adventurer with strong wilderness sensibilities(with a slight dash of sexism). It may be Mike’s body but that doesn’t mean he’s in charge, as his other personalities have their own triggers(some easier to cause than others) and constantly get released much to Mike’s frustration, and everyone else's confusion. Most of all being Vito, who begins to flirt with Anne Maria, this throws a wrench in his burgeoning relationship with Zoey, as she begins to think he doesn’t really like her. He tries to keep his alters a secret for fear of being ridiculed, claiming he’s just a method actor who gets a little too into character(sounds like a decent basis for a character now that I think about it). But his personalities aren’t all bad, Svetlana lives up to her claims of being an olympic level gymnast, Vito is pretty strong(I mean the dude is surprisingly jacked after all), and Manitoba has actual wilderness expertise. With these abilities Mike is actual rather useful to his team, even helping them secure the victory on many occasions, it also goes to show how surprisingly talented he is(I mean his alters are still him after all). But Mike’s MPD ends up causing his downfall, as Scott finds out and under threat of telling Zoey blackmails Mike into helping him. Mike reluctantly agrees and becomes Scotts patsy, but this eventually leads him taking control of his mind and establishing that he’s the boss(which ironically would end up causing more problems as AS shows), he then admits his MPD to Zoey, and in turn she accepts him for who he is. But his joy is short-lived as Scott chooses to eliminate him after winning the challenge, but not before Mike leaves Zoey with a parting gift, a necklace with his face on it(A totally normal thing that everyone has).
When I first watched Revenge when it was airing years ago, I was immediately drawn to Mike over any other character, and I think a large reason for that was due to his gimmick. Yes his MPD is super gimmicky I get that, but at the same time it also makes Mike an incredibly fun character to watch. Each one of his alters is entertaining in there own way to me, Chester is essentially Statler and Waldorf from the Muppets, making snide comments about everything (which is funny given he’s the only personality without any abilities), but I still find his complaining funny, plus he has one of my favorite confessionals(“Yeah and my saggy old butt will get crowned miss Canada”). Svetlana may not have much in the way of funny dialogue, but where her value lies is in being badass, she pulls off these incredible athletic feats and is by far the most useful of all the personalities(also the only one who didn’t really cause problems for Mike), and there is the comedic value in her over the top voice and mannerisms(I mean I get a good laugh seeing her fly through the air in Ice Ice Baby). Vito is easily the most plot important alter, being the nucleus of the love triangle(/square?) with his flirting with Anne Maria, he is easily the funniest of the bunch almost functioning as a second coming of Justin, given he’s just the right combinations of both stupid and arrogant(“There’s enough candy for everyone), while he may be the most bothersome personality he is also one of my favorites. Finally there’s my favorite personality Manitoba Smith, he is criminally underused but he owns the time he has, he is much more brash and inclined to charismatic than the others(he is based on Indiana Jones after all), him taking charge of the Maggots in the mine is super fun and leads to some great interactions, with the others being confused by his slang or his sexist remarks, plus he’s easily the coolest personality(He does rock that hat after all). But even beyond each of the personalities there's Mike on his own, and I’m gonna be honest I actually like Mike, like without his personalities I still like Mike as a character. As I mentioned in Zoey’s entry I really like nice characters and Mike certainly fits that bill, but he isn’t generic like say Beth or Trent he has other things too him, he’s has this dorky awkward charm he has(not all that dissimilar to Cody) he is upbeat and optimistic, even having a bit of a snarky dry humor at times(“I agree with the Maggot). Plus much like Brick he’s one of the more heroic characters, he saves Zoey so many times throughout the season that she even lampshades it, and I can certainly appreciate that those kinds of actions, it leads to him easily being one of the most likable characters of the season(and he does have stiff competition in that department). One other thing about him I like that I don't see many people mention is how for lack of a better word, animated Mike is. What I mean is that just the simple way he moves or reacts to things is funny compared to other characters, like it's hard to explain but take the way he faceplants into a log in the intro, or when he falls back first into a gravestone in Finders Creepers, or how it looks like he warps his spine whenever he leans. Maybe I’m just crazy but these little details are something that I always appreciated about Mike, as it helps him have his own unique visual flair compared to everyone else(plus it just simply looks funny).
Seeing all those things combined led me something dawning on me about Mike, a fact that made me realize just why he’s my favorite this season, and it's the simple fact that out of all the characters this season, Mike was the one I wanted to see most. It’s as simple as that he was the character I was entertained by the most, he was the one I wanted to watch the most, and above all that he was the one whose story I cared about the most(both originally and on my later rewatches). This nicely transitions me to Mike’s interactions, because Mike’s main plotline revolves around him and Zoey. Now I already mentioned back in Zoey’s entry that Zoke is my favorite canon couple in the series(and opinion I’m sure will get a lot of love), so I won’t go over that again, other than saying their interactions are sweet and it shows off both of their likable qualities sure it happens kind of fast(curse of there only being 13 episodes). Yes Mike does lie to her(and everyone else), but if you were in his shoes would you honestly do any different? He has probably faced scrutiny for his MPD his whole life, and as AS showed it's gotten him into trouble before, so maybe he just for once wanted people to think he was normal(something I’m sure he doesn’t get back home). But there relationship also ties into Mike’s personal arc of dealing with his personalities, you can really feel for him at times, as whenever things seem to go his way he gets his shirt ripped(It’s kind of humorous how the writers keep having to find ways for him to lose his shirt), or gets frustrated(which I’m amazed didn’t happen more given how rough TD is), or decides to put on a random fedora(Shouldn’t he know his own triggers by now?). He even ends up becoming a butt monkey to Scott because of it(even if it was only out of a desire to keep his secret), but it leads to one of my favorite moments of the season, when he finally takes control of his brain by straight up beating up his other personalities(including Guy Gardener-ing Vito), and finally confessing his feelings to Zoey. It’s a nice earned moment, and as much as I wish Mike could have lasted longer, him leaving after was the right call.
But he does have other interactions during the season, there is his cool friendship with Cameron, as he becomes the first person(sans Dawn I suppose) to learn his secret, and even helps him control it(with hilarious results), and it is cool how protective and supportive he is of Cameron. There is Vito and Anne Maria, which as I mentioned before is brief but they are funny together, especially in Finders Creepers, there is his brief feud with Scott(something no one talks about is how he was able to peg Scott as “psycho” long before anyone else) where Scott blackmails him, it is brief and essentially gets transferred to Zoey as he leaves but it's fun and adds to Scott’s villain cred.
Mike is a character who I would like on his own, he's extremely likable and endearing, who’s kind of a badass with a heroic streak(Who is weirdly jacked given his build, I mean god damn no wonder he had two girls into him). But the addition of his alternate personalities takes him from simply being a good character, to one of my favorites of the series. Each personality brings something different and unique to the table, and they all contribute to Mike having one of my favorite arcs of the season. I can totally understand why people hate him(Especially in All-Stars), he takes up a lot of screen time(not that I mind) and he isn’t exactly the best representation of mental health issues(although I would still argue he’s better than TDA Trent). But he still remains my favorite aspects of a pretty spectacular season.
You know I've seen a trend around this subreddit of users sort of carrying the torch for certain characters( u/GeometryDash_Gamer with Shawn, u/5YearsOnEastCoast with Dakota, u/DexinTH with Leshawna, etc). So you know what, since no one else is willing(or likes him enough to) and the rest of my faves are already pretty popular, screw it consider me the CEO of Mike(unless I don't already qualify as top Heather fan for my essay, or if top Harold fan is open because he still is my overall favorite). Because I love him as a character and will defend him till my face turns as blue as his shirt. Mike is not only my fave character of this season, or Gen 2 in general, but one of my favorite characters in the entire series. Truly an underrated(/overhated) gem of a character
\"I guess you could say he has...….personality\"(I'll be here all week folks)
End Note: Well I hope you enjoyed this entry(as late as it was) because Mike is someone I've wanted to talk(/gush) about for a while now. Now I hope I satisfied Mike fans, and helped Mike haters gain a new perspective on him(at least for this season). But if you disagree with me that's cool, I would appreciate it if you didn't downvote solely because you disagree with me(I mean it's just a suggestion).
But I will have my final roundup done tomorrow(or today I guess given the time), and then we can officially close the book on ROTI, plus I got an announcement to make there, so make sure not to miss it.

2020.11.16 02:59 jinoble [S] J's Survivor Africa RESULTS!

The first season of Survivor was a success, so we brought another 16 castaways and stranded them, this time in the Serengeti plains of Africa! Surrounded by harsh wildlife, hot sun, and each other, who will have what it takes to claim the million dollars and the title of Sole Survivor?
Let's meet the castaways!
The Boran Tribe:
Shawn "The Syncopation" Voldoski (u/swoldow) - The Syncopation is a behemoth in the music industry, as his band Phantom Kage is critically acclaimed by teens of all ages due to the rebellious nature of the group. That rebellion came easy for him, as he was born and raised in poverty, his mother walked out on him at a young age, and he was left to live his vulnerable teenage years with an abusive, alcoholic bum of a father, who made sure his life would be miserable. Music was what saved his life, as he related to the pain expressed in punk and metal music, and learned to drum on the down-low, and snuck out to join a band in high school. He ran away from home at the age of 17 to live with his band's singer, whose father just so happened to own a record label. His band recorded their first EP, and The Syncopation's fame skyrocketed. Now in his early twenties, you could barely recognize the abused impoverished kid who started the group. Adopting his stage persona, 'The Syncopation' as a full identity, he has grown reckless and vile, and is addicted to fame like it's a drug. As a result, he has become a master at manipulation, using higher-ups in the music industry to turn his label into a multi-million dollar operation, blackmailing venues into giving him gigs, flirting with, cheating on, and manipulating many female songwriters and singers into doing his bidding, and now has many huge faces in the industry feeding from his hand. He plans to run the game the same way, and dominate the game no matter how many backs he has to stab.
Jazzra "Jazz" Simpson (u/swoldow) - Jazz was raised in a poor blue collar household, and because of that, she was heavily ridiculed by the other girls at school over being super poor, and unable to afford the things they can. She never had that many friends, and was always seen as that odd girl who sits alone at lunch. However, things really turned for the worse when her dad got shot by members of a gang due to being unable to pay off a loan, forcing her to have to drop out of school and provide for her family (which she really didn't feel that bad about doing) as soon as she turned 16. She scored the job as being an assistant to a local businessman, and is extremely thankful of the opportunity, as her family can support themselves properly. Able to put food in her family's bellies, she became a bit more confident in herself, but is still incredibly humble. She plans to be loyal to the day one alliances, and whoever else is in her clique, and hopes she can also win some comps to cement herself as an all-star player.
Natalie "Gamebrain" Smolders (u/Macro-The-Singer) - She plays videogames all the time, but she isn't good at dating sims or social interactions. However, she's very attractive and if her fans dont obsess over her gaming skill, they obsess over her attractiveness.
Nia Kandle (u/Rylandoesreddit) - Nia is a hopeless romantic. As a child, Nia was neglected from her parents, and learned to stay distant. During high school however, she met a boy named Geoff. They fell in love quick, and dated for 3 years. This however stopped when Geoff died in a car crash. Wanting to feel love again, Nia now works for Tinder, and wants to use her job to find the fire that lost her soul.
Cameron Trent (u/Rylandoesreddit) - Cameron is a relatively introverted computer programmer. But where he lacks in social abilities he more than makes up for in intelligence and strategy.
Edward Boyle (u/Gemini_B) - Edward’s family is a nice, happy family. One everyone would call normal. Then Edward came along, and he wasn’t “like the rest of them.” He quickly turned to the internet for support in his new emo lifestyle and received it. He quickly fell in love with the attention and wants to compete on survivor to get attention and show his parent’s he’s not in a phase but truly is a cool, brooding emo.
Faith Parker (u/Gemini_B) - Faith is a relatively young woman who tried to hide her cancer diagnosis in fear that people would judge her, leading her to getting bullied for going bald and being really weak. Even after she survived her treatment she retreated away from society for a few moths, hiding herself to avoid judgement. She's coming to survivor when everyone around her encouraged her to really push herself and open up to the world again, confident that people will accept who she is.
Apollo "Sunny" Winston (u/JTsidol) - Growing up Poor, He always had to make the best of things, he always to see people laugh, then he slowly began doing jobs, and he was discovered recently, now he’s slowly getting more recognized, however, a dream of his had been to play and win Survivor, and know, knowing his family is secure, he‘s trying to achieve it.
The Samburu Tribe:
Makoto "Big Mac" Suzuki (u/Macro-The-Singer) - In school, Makoto was cited as the person who stuck out the least. He was so basic he blended in. He plans to use this to his advantage, to be so plain noone thinks hes a big risk and then WHAM! big moves everywhere!
Suzumi Mioda (u/swoldow) - Suzumi was born rich to a selfish, cunning millionaire who was strict, patriarchal, and taught her that deceit was the only way to get far in life. Suzumi felt stressed from an early age, due to his unnatainable expectations, strict punishments, and total lack of empathy for her and her sisters. This led her to be cold and bitter in high school, which led to nobody liking her, further decreasing her self-esteem. As a result, she sought counseling, where she told the counselor about her home life, and she promised to help her gain a positive mental fortitude. With the help of this counselor, Suzumi made a complete 180 in her life and started to spread kindness as much as she could, despite being a little socially awkward. Cutting contact with her dad, she ended up marrying said counselor's son, and the two of them moved to Maine where Suzumi cast off her dad's way of thinking, and got a job involving spreading kindness; working at a nursing home. She has worked there for 15 years and is about to be promoted to general manager there, but before she does that, on a whim she decided to play Survivor.

Cory Keith (u/Twig7665) - Cory grew up in the Scottish countryside, helping out on his family's farm and not getting a proper education. All that changed when he auditioned for a local singing competition, and to say he stole the show would be an understatement. He was shipped off to an American music college the next year, where he met some people who would later form the band he was in. He also discovered the amazing world of harsh vocals soon after forming the band, and together with the bassist's musical genius, they became widely popular in the underground scene, making money selling their first few LPs. Their popularity exploded when a middle aged failed politician helped them by becoming their manager and spreading their word, and they became a behemoth in the music industry. The fame really got to Cory's head, and he grew egotistical and developed a distrust for his band members, seeing them as untrustworthy. Soon after he got into alcohol and drugs, but was able to go into rehab for about a year, and now is six months sober. He was in a car accident in his teen years that killed everyone in the car but him, and he began to think of himself as an untouchable person, someone who could survive almost anything. This caused him to grow reckless when he's not fishing, and made several poor choices in his twenties, including messing with police, which caused him to be sent to jail for several months for interfering with a cop's duty. Now out of prison, he continues to be reckless, but stayed away from police this time. Will his reckless personality help or hinder his journey on Survivor? Only time will tell.

At Boran, The Syncopation, knowing his fame and stature would put a target on his back, immediately sought safety. He approached Sunny, another strong player, as well as Gamebrain and Edward. Cameron noticed and tried to put together a counter alliance, approaching Faith, Jazz, and Nia. Over on Samburu, Big Mac, hoping to blend in, quickly struck up a deal with Claire, Cory, Suzumi, and Ximena, hoping to hide behind big guy Cory and older Suzumi. Luther acted just a bit too late, only able to rope in Dennis and Lela in to his alliance. The immunity challenge rolls around and the Boran tribe wins, as well as getting some matches, sending Samburu to the first tribal council of the season. At the Boran camp, Cameron, Faith, Jazz, and Nia begin to realize that they don't work together as well as they thought, but try to stick together. At Samburu, a similar event occurs with the larger alliance, but Big Mac calms them down, saying that they at least need to stick it out until the three others are gone. Hearing this, the smaller alliance targets Big Mac, as they think he is the leader, but unfortunately for them they couldn't get anyone from the large alliance to flip. The large alliance targets Dennis, feeling like he held them up in the last challenge, and Dennis is sent home by a vote of 5-3
Episode 2: At Samburu, Ximena and Cory get to talking, and Ximena's psychology background leads to a deep discussion about Cory's not-so-happy past, where Ximena helps Cory in his recovery, creating a bit of a bond between the two. At the reward challenge, Boran wins blankets and canned foods, sure to taste better than the corn meal they had to eat. At the immunity challenge, Boran continues their streak, sending Samburu to the second tribal council. At Boran's camp, nothing significant has happened. The castaways are enjoying the night off and appreciating not having to deal with the struggles of tribal. Meanwhile, at Samburu, Claire wants to target Luther, because he's a smarter player, but Cory wants to target Lela because he's tired of tribal and wants a stronger team. In the end the big alliance votes out Luther by a 5-2 vote, while Lela and Luther both vote for Claire.
Episode 3: At Boran, Nia tries to flirt with Sunny to get him to flip, but it doesn't seem to be working very well. At the other camp, Big Mac is doing a poor job of fading into the background like he wanted to do, and is actually annoying the rest of the tribe with his obnoxious snoring. Boran continues their winning streak, sweeping the episode, winning fresh water and shampoo as well as sending Samburu to their third straight tribal council. At Boran, Edward and Nia have a bit of an argument after Nia gets tired of Edward's arrogance and selfishness. Over on Samburu, Lela fails to take the opportunity to target Big Mac, instead opting to target Ximena. She thinks that Ximena and Cory might be a couple and wants to take one of them out. However, the larger alliance sticks together and votes out Lela 5-1
Episode 4: At Boran, Gamebrain starts to worry if her physical weakness is making her a target of the rest of the tribe, so she starts to put in extra work around camp. Boran continues to dominate, winning a food reward and immunity, sending Samburu to yet another tribal council. Since only the larger alliance remains at Samburu, there is no longer any allegiances, and every name is thrown out at least once. However, the main topic of conversation is the potential relationship between Cory and Ximena, despite the fact that both adamantly deny it. At tribal, a shocking tie vote comes in with 2 votes for Claire, 2 votes for Ximena, and 1 vote for Cory. A revote occurs, and Ximena is sent home by a vote of 2-1, a sad Cory watching as she walks down the path.

To their surprise, the three representatives will be swapping tribes! Big Mac, Cory, and Claire will be sent to Boran while Gamebrain, Faith, and Jazz join Samburu with Suzumi. The swap was a blessing in disguise for Suzumi, as Samburu finally wins immunity, sending Boran to their first tribal council. At Samburu, Faith and Gamebrain get into a heated argument after Gamebrain takes an extra serving of rice. At Boran, Nia puts in extra work around camp, trying to ensure that the original Boran sticks together and votes off one of the three newcomers. The original Boran gather to discuss who should be voted out. They settle on Big Mac, because they believe he helps the least in challenges. The three old Samburu members aproach Sunny, Nia, The Syncopation and Cameron and point out Edward, how he's scrawny and kind of weak, suggesting they vote out him to keep the tribe strong. In the end, Big Mac goes home by a vote of 5-3 anyway.
Episode 6: At Boran, seeing that he recieved votes and was targeted, Edward begins to put in more effort at camp, hoping that people won't see him as a weak link. The atmosphere at Samburu is very awkward and quiet, and nothing much happens. Reward challenge, Boran gets back to their usual domination, winning a food buffet. The energy from the buffet gives them the strength they need to win the immunity challenge as well, sending the four Samburu members to tribal council. At Samburu, Gamebrain realizes that both of the original Boran alliances still have four people, which is an issue. She wants her alliance to have the most people, so she aproaches Suzumi and tells her to vote for Faith, as she has an incredible underdog story, without telling Faith or Jazz. Tribal council comes around, and to the surprise of Faith and Jazz, there is a 2-2 tie vote between Faith and Suzumi. The revote occurs, and once again there is a tie! A firemaking tiebreaker ensues, and Suzumi beats Faith, sending Faith home, shocked and dissapointed.
Episode 7: Both tribes get an exciting tree mail: it's merge time! The remaining ten castaways get together for a feast and celebration, naming their new tribe Moto Maji. There are seven original Boran and three original Samburu. The immunity challenge rolls around and The Syncopation wins the first individual challenge of the season! Back at camp, the original Boran tribe gathers to decide what to do. Gamebrain is a bit worried that her Faith vote will upset her tribe. , and Jazz is upset that she was blindsided and refuses to work with Gamebrain, forcing the original Boran to choose. Sunny and The Syncopation want to target Cory, as he is the main challenge threat on the other side. Jazz realized that Sunny and The Syncopation are going to side with Gamebrain, so she aproaches Cameron and Nia about voting with the original Samburu to vote out Sunny, a major competition threat and leader of his alliance. However, Cameron and Nia elected to stick with Boran, voting out Cory 6-4
Episode 8: After the last vote, Jazz realized that if she continues with the old Samburu, her chances of winning are completely dashed. At the reward challenge, Sunny wins and brings Cameron with him to barter two goats at a local town, wanting both a night out for the boys and a chance to soften him up so that he won't be able to expect and react when Sunny wants to vote hime out. At the immunity challenge, Gamebrain pulls out a surprise win, gaurunteeing her safety. At camp, Suzumi talks to Gamebrain, hoping she will continue to keep Suzumi safe. At tribal, however, it is Claire who is voted out, by an 8-1 vote.
Episode 9: At the camp, Sunny and Nia are starting to get along better. More than just friends. They start to spend time together. Sunny can make Nia laugh, and Nia understands Sunny. Reward challenge, the tribe is divided into pairs, and the winning pair is Gamebrain and The Syncopation. At the immunity challenge, Nia, energized by her new-found love, pulls through and wins immunity, gaurunteeing her safety. The Syncopation takes this opportunity to rally his original alliance of Gamebrain, Sunny, and Edward to vote out Cameron, the biggest threat to win on the other alliance. Sunny approaches Nia about the idea, who is torn, as Cameron is part of her original alliance. Cameron, on the other hand, sees The Syncopation's attempt to vote him off and reconciles with Suzumi in an attempt to vote for Sunny, believing that he would beat Sunny in the tiebreaker. Unfortunately for him, though, Nia's newfound bond to Sunny was too strong, as Cameron is voted out 5-3
Episode 10: At this point there are only two people that Sunny isn't closely aligned with: Suzumi and Jazz. After the Survivor Auction, he tells his allies that he wants to target Suzumi as the last member of the original Samburu tribe, but unfortunately for him, Suzumi wins immunity. Thus, he targets Jazz. Jazz and Suzumi, however, target Edward and approach Gamebrain and The Syncopation, saying that Edward hasn't pissed anybody off, making him a real jury vote threat. However, the original alliance from Boran sticks together, voting off Jazz 5-2
Episode 11: At this point Suzumi is feeling really alone. All of her original tribe is gone and the only person left who has voted with her is Gamebrain, who just voted against her. At the reward challenge, Sunny wins a resort stay along with a safari, feast, and a clean bed to sleep in for a night, and he takes Gamebrain in an effort to ensure she votes off Suzumi. At the immunity challenge, Sunny wins again, giving him a clean sweep of the episode. At camp, Nia starts to withdraw from the rest of the tribe and focus only on Sunny, making him her only alliance. Suzumi approaches Gamebrain about keeping her longer and voting for The Syncopation, because he has won challenges, played strategically, and hasn't made enemies on the jury. However, Gamebrain votes with her alliance and Suzumi, the last Samburu, is voted out 5-1
Episode 12: We're down to the final five, four of which have been in an alliance since the very beginning. Gamebrain, Edward, and The Syncopation want to target Nia as the last person not in the alliance, but Sunny is unsure due to his relationship with her. At the reward challenge, The Syncopation wins, earning him a new truck. At the immunity challenge, Gamebrain pulls out her second consecutive immunity. At camp, Sunny is certain he has the game in the bag due to his domination, but that behavior bothers the rest of the tribe, making them even more certain that they want to vote out his girlfriend, Nia. However, Edward slips on a rock and breaks his leg in two places, causing him to get medevaced and tribal council for the night to be cancelled.
Finale Part 1: Four castaways make a trek through the African Savannah, honoring the castaways that they had to vote out to get to where they are. At the immunity challenge, Gamebrain continues her surprising winning streak with her third consecutive individual immunity. At camp, she and The Syncopation agree that Nia needs to go, as she is the only one that wasn't part of the alliance that the jury is bitter at. Gamebrain approaches Sunny, explaining that she knows its hard, but that Nia has to go if the rest of them want a chance to win. Nia overhears Sunny agree and is really upset about it, so she tries to flip the vote onto Sunny, mentioning his dominance, both physically and strategically. However, at tribal, by a 3-1 vote, Nia is sent to the jury in tears.
Finale Part 2: The final three, Gamebrain, The Syncopation, and Sunny, get ready for their final immunity challenge. Sunny and The Syncopation agree to take each other, as they have spent every day of the game together. At the immunity challenge, to the surprise of everyone present, Gamebrain pulls out her fourth consecutive individual immunity, solidifying her as the most surprising comp beast of the season. Both The Syncopation and Sunny approach Gamebrain in an effort to get taken to the final tribal council. The Syncopation argues all of the moves that Sunny has made, while Sunny tells Gamebrain that The Syncopation doesn't have as many enemies on the jury. The Syncopation feels pretty confident, especially after Sunny and Gamebrain get into a major fight, Sunny regretting his decision to vote out Nia and blaming Gamebrain. At final tribal council, The Syncopation gets blindsided, getting voted out by Gamebrain and becoming the final member of the jury.
Final Tribal Council: The final two, Sunny and Gamebrain, face the jury. Both have played good games to get to this point. Sunny emphasizes the great strategic gameplay he has had to get him there and asks the jury to set aside personal feelings and to vote for the better gameplay. Gamebrain says that she has played a great game as well and says that she was able to do it without making people mad, not to mention her six competition wins, most of which she didn't really need. Gamebrain was a great winner, and I can see several potential returnees. Highlights were the Faith blindside, the Cameron blindside, and the Nia blindside. Overall, a great season, and I can't wait to see some of these players come back!
